Crewchief Systems has announced a direct integration of Flyparts.com into its Crewchief MX maintenance management platform, allowing aviation technicians and shop managers to order parts without leaving an active work order. The capability, revealed at the EAA AirVenture Oshkosh 2026 event, positions Crewchief as the first maintenance management platform to embed parts ordering directly into the work order interface.

With this integration, technicians can now browse and purchase from a catalog of over 2 million parts available through Flyparts' marketplace and its network of integrated suppliers. The goal is to eliminate the need to switch between systems, reducing workflow interruptions and redundant administrative tasks during scheduled inspections, squawk resolution, or component replacements.

Streamlining MRO Procurement

Aaron de Zafra, CEO of Crewchief Systems, emphasized the uniqueness of the feature: "No other maintenance management platform gives technicians the ability to order parts from inside a work order." The integration aims to make Crewchief MX a comprehensive tool for managing all aspects of aircraft maintenance, from task tracking to parts procurement.

John Gitts, COO and Co-Founder of Flyparts.com, highlighted the operational benefits: "This integration eliminates friction between maintenance and procurement, reduces aircraft downtime, and ensures critical documentation like 8130s flows seamlessly into the maintenance record." The automated flow of documentation is particularly valuable for MROs and airlines that must maintain strict compliance records.

Crewchief Systems, known for providing modern aircraft asset intelligence, already partners with leading aviation organizations such as Garmin and FlightAware. Flyparts.com serves as a global marketplace for aircraft parts, supporting airlines, MROs, pilots, and aircraft owners with a vast supplier network and 24/7 support.

This development reflects a broader trend in aviation technology toward integrated platforms that reduce silos between maintenance and procurement. Similar integrations are emerging across the travel technology landscape, such as Anand Systems integrating Duetto RMS for hotel revenue optimization, highlighting the industry's push for seamless data flow.

For airlines and MROs managing large fleets, the ability to order parts directly from a work order can significantly reduce aircraft-on-ground (AOG) time. The integration also supports better inventory management by linking parts ordering directly to maintenance tasks, reducing the risk of incorrect or duplicate orders.

Flyparts.com's marketplace includes both OEM and aftermarket parts, giving technicians access to a wide range of options. The platform's 24/7 support ensures that urgent orders can be placed at any time, a critical factor for operations that run around the clock.

Crewchief Systems continues to expand its platform's capabilities, with this integration marking a key milestone in its roadmap. The company's focus on asset intelligence and maintenance management aligns with the needs of modern aviation operators who require real-time visibility into aircraft status and parts availability.
