flydubai has inaugurated daily non-stop flights between Dubai International Airport (DXB) and Aleppo International Airport (ALP), marking the carrier’s second destination in Syria after Damascus. The inaugural flight arrived on 20 July and was greeted with a traditional water cannon salute.
Strengthening UAE-Syria Air Links
The new service responds to sustained demand from Syrian diaspora communities in the UAE and the broader Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) region, as well as from business and leisure travelers. Aleppo, Syria’s second-largest city, is a historic commercial and cultural hub, home to the UNESCO-listed Aleppo Citadel and Al-Madina Souq.
flydubai already operates three daily flights to Damascus, and the addition of Aleppo provides a more direct alternative for passengers heading to northern Syria. The route is operated under the airline’s codeshare agreement with Emirates, enabling seamless connections across both networks for travelers originating from or transiting through Dubai.
“The commencement of our daily flights to Aleppo, a city of immense historical and commercial significance, strengthens our presence in Syria and reinforces our commitment to connecting Dubai with key markets in the region,” said Hamad Obaidalla, Chief Commercial Officer at flydubai.
Pricing and Booking
Return Business Class fares from Dubai to Aleppo start at $2,178 (AED 8,000), while Economy Class Lite fares begin at $490 (AED 1,800). Tickets can be booked via flydubai’s website, mobile app, or through travel partners.
The launch follows flydubai’s recent capacity increase on the Dubai–Bangkok corridor, where it added a second daily flight to Don Mueang Airport. The airline continues to expand its network across the Middle East, Africa, Asia, and Europe, leveraging its partnership with Emirates to offer passengers broader access.
For travel professionals, the Aleppo service opens new opportunities for corporate travel, family visits, and tourism to a city with deep historical roots. The route also supports cargo connectivity for businesses trading between the UAE and northern Syria.
