For the first time, Iglu—Europe’s largest online travel agent for cruise and ski holidays—sent 40 team members to Flight Centre Travel Group’s annual Global Gathering, held in Bangkok on 8 July. The event brought together over 2,000 participants from across the group to recognise top performers from the previous year.

The Iglu delegation, selected based on sales and achievements, joined colleagues from around the world at venues including Asiatique The Riverfront and the Bangkok Marriott Marquis. The gathering culminated in a gala dinner featuring DJ Armand Van Helden.

Strategy Exchange and Recognition

David Gooch, CEO of Iglu, said: “It was fantastic to join our colleagues from across the world at the 2026 Global Gathering in Bangkok. Not only did we celebrate our top-performing staff, but we also met with our counterparts to exchange information on strategy and innovation.” He encouraged the team to aim for a place at next year’s event, planned for Sydney.

Iglu operates under the brands Iglu Cruise and Iglu Ski in the UK, and Planet Cruise across Europe. The company has been recognised with multiple awards, including Cruise Agency of the Year. It became part of the Flight Centre Travel Group in December 2025 and continues to support sustainable travel initiatives.

The Global Gathering underscores the growing importance of large-scale MICE events for travel groups seeking to align strategy and reward performance. For Iglu, participation marks a milestone in its integration into the Flight Centre network.
