Regent Seven Seas Cruises is raising the bar for wellness at sea with the announcement of its most extensive spa and fitness complex to date, set to debut aboard the upcoming Seven Seas Prestige. The vessel, scheduled to enter service in December 2026, will showcase the largest Serene Spa & Wellness venue in the fleet, along with several industry-first amenities including in-suite gyms and a dedicated salt room.
The new Serene Spa & Wellness, located on Deck 4, will span 10 treatment rooms, including dedicated acupuncture and medi-spa suites, plus a couple's treatment room. Guests will have complimentary access to a thermal suite featuring a salt room, saunas, steam rooms, and a hydrotherapy pool. The treatment menu draws on global traditions and advanced techniques, with signature offerings such as the Around the World Massage and the Mediterranean Seaweed Wrap.
Wesley D’Silva, president of Regent Seven Seas Cruises, emphasized the strategic importance of wellness in the brand's evolution. “Wellness has become a cornerstone of the Regent experience for many of our guests, and our Serene Spa & Wellness offering aboard Seven Seas Prestige has been designed to honour this evolving trend,” he said.
Fitness innovation and exclusive suites
Beyond the spa, the ship will introduce the largest gym in Regent's history, outfitted with Technogym's Sand Stone Collection and the Mywellness digital platform, enabling personalized training programs. The fitness center will cater to a range of preferences, from high-intensity workouts to recovery-focused sessions.
At the top end of the accommodation spectrum, the Skyview Regent Suite will offer a private gym and in-suite spa services, positioning it as the most exclusive address at sea. This suite is designed for discerning travelers who value privacy and personalized wellness, reflecting a broader trend in luxury cruise travel toward bespoke health experiences.
The wellness push comes as cruise lines compete to attract affluent travelers seeking holistic experiences. Norwegian Cruise Line's upcoming Norwegian Aura, for instance, is also set to debut with the largest spa at sea, highlighting the industry's focus on wellness as a key differentiator. Regent's investment in the Seven Seas Prestige underscores its commitment to maintaining a leadership position in the luxury segment.
The Seven Seas Prestige will embark on its maiden voyage on 13 December 2026, with an initial season exploring the Caribbean and Europe. The line has planned 13 immersive voyages, each designed to combine vibrant exploration with the all-inclusive indulgence that Regent is known for. These itineraries are expected to appeal to both seasoned cruisers and new-to-brand guests seeking a premium travel experience.
Regent's announcement follows a series of wellness-related initiatives across the travel industry, from luxury resort culinary programs to expanded cruise seasons in Asia-Pacific. The cruise line's focus on longevity treatments and advanced fitness technology positions it to tap into the growing demand for health-conscious travel, a segment that has shown resilience even amid broader economic uncertainty.
Travel advisors and agents will find the new spa and suite offerings particularly relevant for clients seeking ultra-luxury experiences. The inclusion of in-suite gyms addresses a niche but growing request from high-net-worth travelers who prioritize fitness continuity during their vacations. With the Seven Seas Prestige set to join the fleet in less than two years, Regent is positioning itself to capture early bookings from its loyal customer base and new affluent cruisers alike.
