Rental Escapes, a specialist in high-end villa rentals, has broadened its European footprint with the addition of properties in London and Mallorca. The move, announced on 23 June 2026, targets the growing appetite for curated, immersive stays in two of Europe's most sought-after destinations.

Strategic Expansion Driven by Adviser Feedback

Willie Fernandez, Chief Sales and Marketing Officer at Rental Escapes, said the expansion was shaped by direct input from travel advisers and guests. “We listened to what the trade and their clients wanted — more unique, personalised villa experiences in key European cities and coastal retreats,” Fernandez noted. The company’s portfolio now spans over 5,000 curated rentals across 170 destinations, supported by a dedicated concierge service.

The new inventory includes properties tailored for families, large groups, and multi-generational travellers. In London, guests can arrange private tours of the Tower of London or in-villa dining with Michelin-starred chefs. Mallorca offerings include sunset yacht charters and private wine tastings. This approach ensures no two itineraries are alike, reinforcing Rental Escapes’ position in the bespoke travel segment.

Standout Properties: The Mayfair Glasshouse and Casa En El Mar

Among the flagship additions is The Mayfair Glasshouse, a three-storey residence overlooking Hyde Park. The property blends urban luxury with residential comfort, appealing to high-net-worth travellers seeking a central London base. In Mallorca, Casa En El Mar is a six-bedroom villa with direct sea access, designed for those who prioritise privacy and coastal living.

Nightly rates range from approximately $1,340 (£1,340) to $15,000 (£15,000), depending on the villa and season. The pricing reflects the premium positioning of these assets within the luxury accommodation market.

The expansion aligns with broader trends in Mediterranean hospitality evolution, where private villas are redefining luxury travel in Southern Europe. Rental Escapes’ move also echoes the flexible luxury model seen at properties like Rah Gili Maldives, which ditches rigid resort protocols in favour of tailored experiences.

Implications for Travel Advisers and Operators

For travel advisers, the expanded portfolio offers new commissionable options in two high-demand markets. The company’s concierge service handles logistics from airport transfers to activity bookings, allowing agents to focus on client relationships. Tour operators and DMCs can also leverage these properties for group itineraries, particularly in Mallorca where multi-generational travel is on the rise.

Rental Escapes’ growth comes as the luxury travel sector increasingly favours experience-driven stays over standard hotel rooms. The company’s investment in Europe signals confidence in the region’s recovery and its long-term appeal to discerning travellers.
