Virgin Voyages is elevating its culinary program with new collaborations with chefs Rashida Holmes and Brad Farmerie, bringing Caribbean and Mediterranean-inspired dishes to its ships and the Beach Club at Bimini. The updates, which are now rolling out across the fleet, are designed to appeal to both new and returning guests while reinforcing the line's position as a leader in premium dining at sea.
Chef Rashida Holmes, known for her Los Angeles-based Bridgetown Roti, has created a Caribbean menu for the Beach Club at Bimini that draws on her Barbadian and Trinidadian heritage. Offerings include Curry Chicken Roti, Snapper Patties, and Tamarind BBQ Skewers. Holmes said, “Giving them a taste of what I grew up eating...is how I express that joy.” The menu is available at the Beach Club, which is a key stop on Virgin Voyages' Bahamas itineraries.
Signature venues get refreshed menus
Meanwhile, Michelin-starred chef Brad Farmerie has revamped the brunch and dinner menus at The Wake, the line's signature steakhouse. New additions include Waldorf Salad, Tuna Tartare, and expanded seafood options such as Grilled Swordfish. The Dock, a Mediterranean-inspired restaurant, now features shareable dishes like Jewelled Tabbouleh and Turkish Devilled Eggs.
These updates are part of Virgin Voyages' ongoing investment in its dining experiences, which now include more than 20 eateries across its fleet, all included in the voyage fare. The line has emphasized that there are no specialty dining supplements, a differentiator that appeals to travel agents and guests alike.
SJ Walker, UK Market Director at Virgin Voyages, highlighted the value proposition for agents, noting the absence of extra dining fees and the allure of world-class chef collaborations. “Our guests can enjoy a diverse range of culinary experiences without worrying about additional costs,” she said.
The refreshed menus are available now, with the new Caribbean menu rolling out across the fleet from October through April 2027. The line continues to differentiate itself with its commitment to exceptional dining, a key factor in its growing popularity among cruise travelers.
Virgin Voyages has also been active in other areas, recently adding up to $500 credit for Caribbean sailings, which can be combined with the new dining offerings to enhance the overall guest experience. For agents, this combination of value and culinary innovation makes Virgin Voyages an attractive option for clients seeking a premium cruise experience.
The cruise line's focus on dining is part of a broader trend in the industry, as operators seek to differentiate their offerings. With the new menus, Virgin Voyages is positioning itself as a leader in culinary excellence at sea, appealing to food-focused travelers and those looking for a unique vacation experience.
