VIVA Cruises has introduced a gourmet gift box promotion for travel agents and their clients, adding an extra incentive to secure bookings on the line's 2028 VIVA Boutique programme. The boxes, worth up to €100, will be delivered directly to guests who book any of the boutique sailings before 15 November 2026.

The 2028 Boutique season features two of the line's most intimate vessels: the 112-guest VIVA BEYOND, operating on the Seine, and the 104-guest VIVA UNIQUE, sailing in Italy. Together they offer a range of three- to seven-night cruises designed for travellers seeking a more personal river experience.

Boutique itineraries and pricing

Among the highlights is the three-night Venice City Stay aboard VIVA UNIQUE, which positions the ship as a floating boutique hotel in the lagoon city. Prices start at £750 per person. For a longer escape, the five-night Seine from Paris roundtrip on VIVA BEYOND calls at Les Andelys, Rouen and Conflans, from £1,350 per person.

The seven-night Italy for all the Senses itinerary on VIVA UNIQUE explores the Venetian Lagoon and the Po River, with fares from £2,250 per person. Meanwhile, the Champagne & Sparkling Cruise on VIVA BEYOND includes food walks and tastings, priced from £3,150 per person.

Michelle Daniels, director of sales for UK & Ireland and Australia & New Zealand at VIVA Cruises, said: “Our new Boutique programme offers guests a more intimate and immersive way to explore some of Europe’s iconic rivers, combining exceptional destinations with personalised experiences, gourmet dining and cultural discovery.”

The boutique ships feature more than 50% suite accommodation, with perks such as airport transfers and priority boarding. The all-inclusive fare covers meals, premium drinks and complimentary High Tea. VIVA BEYOND launched earlier this year, while VIVA UNIQUE is scheduled to debut in May 2027.

For agents, the gift box offer adds a tangible reward for clients, complementing the line's broader push into the boutique segment. As river cruising continues to attract a more discerning traveller, VIVA's focus on smaller ships and curated experiences positions it well against larger operators.

Travel professionals looking to expand their luxury river portfolio may also note recent moves by other lines, such as Mitsui Ocean Cruises bundling free airfare for its 2027 Japan season, indicating a trend toward value-added incentives.

With the booking window open until November 2026, agents have ample time to promote these boutique sailings. The combination of gourmet gifts and intimate itineraries could appeal to clients seeking a premium, personalised river cruise experience.
