Accor+ Explorer, the premium travel loyalty subscription under Accor Plus, is marking its first anniversary with a significant network expansion. The programme now includes more than 1,400 hotels across 30 countries, having added over 150 properties in the Middle East. This growth brings the subscription into new markets including Egypt, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, and Jordan, among others.

The expansion strengthens Accor's presence in the region, with members now able to access benefits at iconic brands such as Raffles, Fairmont, and Mövenpick. The move aligns with broader trends in the hospitality sector, where loyalty subscriptions are becoming a key driver of direct bookings and guest retention.

Membership growth and booking momentum

Since its launch, Accor+ Explorer has attracted over 485,000 members, who collectively booked more than 3.8 million room nights in the past year. The programme reports a 20% increase in room revenue generated by members, who stay five times more frequently than non-members. These figures underscore the value of subscription-based loyalty models in fostering repeat travel.

Emilie Couton, CEO of Accor Plus, commented: “A year ago, we launched Explorer with a clear promise: real value, from day one. People continue to prioritise travel, dining, and experiences that enrich their lives.”

Enhanced benefits and partnerships

Members of Accor+ Explorer enjoy two complimentary Stay Plus nights annually, up to 50% off selected stays, and substantial dining discounts. They also receive 15% off stays at over 5,000 Accor hotels worldwide. The programme has strengthened its ties with financial services and retail partners, including a new Visa partnership in Asia. This follows similar moves in the industry, such as Visa Infinite's expansion of its chef-led dining programme across 13 Asia Pacific markets, highlighting the growing intersection of travel and dining benefits.

To celebrate the anniversary, new members who join by 31 October 2026 will receive 3,000 bonus ALL Accor Reward points. This incentive is designed to attract travellers seeking immediate value from their loyalty subscriptions.

The expansion into the Middle East is a strategic step for Accor, which has been growing its portfolio in the region. The addition of properties in key destinations like Saudi Arabia and Qatar aligns with the region's tourism ambitions, including major events and giga-projects. For travel agents and corporate buyers, the broader network means more options for clients seeking premium experiences with consistent benefits.

Accor+ Explorer's growth also reflects a wider trend in the hospitality industry, where subscription models are gaining traction. Similar to how Mastercard has doubled its Asia-Pacific dining network, Accor is leveraging partnerships to enhance the value proposition for its members.

For hoteliers, the programme offers a channel to drive direct bookings and increase guest loyalty. The data shows that members are more engaged, staying more frequently and generating higher revenue. This makes the subscription an attractive tool for properties looking to build a stable base of repeat customers.

As the travel industry continues to recover and evolve, loyalty subscriptions like Accor+ Explorer are likely to play an increasingly important role. With its expanded network and enhanced benefits, the programme is well-positioned to meet the demands of modern travellers who seek flexibility, value, and memorable experiences.
