Aman, in partnership with luxury travel designer Remote Lands, has unveiled its 2028 collection of private jet expeditions, offering five exclusive journeys that span Asia, Europe, and the Middle East. Each expedition is capped at 16 to 18 guests, combining stays at Aman properties with private aviation to access culturally and spiritually significant destinations.
The new lineup introduces two itineraries for 2028. The Cultural Treasures of Asia is a 15-night journey through Japan, Cambodia, China, Bhutan, and India, culminating with a visit to the Taj Mahal. The second new offering, From Islands to Ancient Worlds, spans 17 nights across eight destinations, including Japan, the Philippines, Indonesia, and Turkey.
Returning favorites and new experiences
Returning to the roster is Discover Southeast Asia, which will operate twice in 2028. This 13-night expedition explores Vietnam, Laos, Cambodia, and Thailand, with highlights including a helicopter flight over Angkor Wat and yacht cruises in Phang Nga Bay. Another returning journey, China’s UNESCO Treasures, offers a 12-night deep dive into China’s cultural heritage, featuring experiences such as a champagne lunch on the Great Wall.
According to Aman, demand for these expeditions has been consistently high, and availability is limited. The company encourages early bookings to secure a place on these exclusive journeys.
The partnership between Aman and Remote Lands has been a cornerstone of ultra-luxury travel, blending Aman’s serene sanctuaries with Remote Lands’ expertise in crafting bespoke itineraries. The 2028 collection reflects a growing trend among high-net-worth travelers seeking immersive, small-group experiences that combine comfort with cultural depth.
For travel professionals, these expeditions represent a niche but lucrative segment. The private jet model, which eliminates the hassles of commercial aviation, appeals to clients who value time and exclusivity. With only 16 to 18 guests per departure, the product is inherently scarce, driving premium pricing and early sell-outs.
Remote Lands, founded by Catherine Heald, has long specialized in Asia-focused luxury travel. The company’s collaboration with Aman leverages its deep network of guides and local partners to deliver access that is difficult to replicate. For agents, this means a product that can be positioned as a once-in-a-lifetime experience, justifying the significant investment required.
The 2028 itineraries also tap into broader industry trends. As remote work reshapes Southeast Asian beach economies, luxury travelers are increasingly seeking authentic, off-the-beaten-path experiences. Aman’s expeditions, which include stays at properties in Bhutan and Cambodia, cater to this demand.
For those in the MICE and incentive travel space, the private jet format offers a template for high-end group travel. The limited guest count and curated programming could serve as inspiration for corporate retreats or VIP client events, though the price point positions it firmly in the luxury segment.
As the travel industry continues to rebound, the appetite for exclusive, experiential travel shows no signs of waning. Aman’s 2028 collection, with its blend of new and returning itineraries, is poised to capture the attention of discerning travelers and the agents who serve them.
