Aman New York has expanded its Homes collection with the addition of four new luxury residences in the Crown Building, located at the corner of Fifth Avenue and 57th Street in Midtown Manhattan. The new inventory brings the total number of Aman-branded residences in the property to seven, catering to ultra-high-net-worth travellers seeking private accommodation with full hotel services.

New Residence Configurations and Pricing

The four new units include a One-Bedroom Home on the 17th floor, a Three-Bedroom Home occupying the entire 24th floor, a Three-Bedroom Home with a private pool, and a Two-Bedroom Home also featuring a pool. The full-floor three-bedroom residence spans 585 square metres and includes three ensuite bedrooms, a media room, and multiple entertaining spaces with views over Central Park and Fifth Avenue. The Three-Bedroom Home with Pool offers a heated infinity pool on a private terrace, while the Two-Bedroom Home with Pool includes a plunge pool and lounge area.

Rates for the One-Bedroom Home start at $9,000 per night, with no minimum stay required. All residences are designed by Jean-Michel Gathy, whose interiors draw on Aman's Asian heritage through natural materials such as oak and walnut.

Services and Amenities

Each residence provides dedicated lift access, expansive living spaces, and contemporary kitchens. Guests receive butler service, complimentary use of the house car, and access to Aman New York's dining venues and wellness facilities, including the Aman Spa. Personalised concierge services are also available.

The expansion reflects a broader trend in luxury hospitality where hotel brands are blending residential comfort with five-star services. Similar models have been adopted by other luxury operators, such as Nammos Hotels & Resorts in their upcoming Montenegro development, and Four Seasons in its private residence offerings worldwide.

Industry Context

Aman's move into branded residences in New York follows the brand's established Homes collection in destinations such as Tokyo, Venice, and the Bahamas. The Crown Building, a historic 1921 structure originally designed by Warren & Wetmore, was redeveloped by Aman in partnership with developer Michael Shvo. The property also houses Aman New York's hotel, which opened in 2022 with 83 suites and a 2,300-square-metre spa.

The new residences are expected to appeal to high-net-worth individuals seeking a pied-à-terre in Manhattan without the commitment of full ownership. The no-minimum-stay policy offers flexibility for frequent travellers who may visit New York for business, cultural events, or seasonal stays.

For travel advisors and luxury tour operators, the expanded inventory provides additional options for clients seeking exclusive accommodations in Midtown. The residences can be booked through Aman's direct channels and preferred agency partners.

The luxury residence market in New York remains competitive, with brands such as The Ritz-Carlton, Four Seasons, and Mandarin Oriental also offering branded residences in the city. Aman's focus on privacy, space, and Asian-inspired design differentiates its product in a crowded segment.
