The Australian Travel Industry Association (ATIA) has unveiled early-bird ticket packages for its 2026 Beyond Borders and National Travel Industry Awards (NTIA) events, now available for purchase. The packages have been restructured following direct feedback from members, aiming to deliver greater value for travel agencies, tour operators, and industry partners across Australia.
Each full weekend package provides four tickets to the Beyond Borders Travel Summit, the NTIA Finalist Celebration, the Wellness 5k, and the NTIA ceremony itself, including the after-party. For larger groups, an option for a table of 10 at the NTIA is also offered. The events are scheduled to take place in 2026, with exact dates and venue details to be confirmed.
Industry's Premier Gathering
Dean Long, CEO of ATIA, underscored the significance of the weekend, stating: “The ATIA weekend is the largest travel event in Australia and the early bird packages are great value for money. Beyond Borders and NTIA is the highlight of the travel industry’s calendar, and ticket packages are the best way to secure your team’s spot.” The NTIA has historically been a sell-out affair; last year nearly 450 individuals were placed on a waitlist, reflecting strong demand from the sector.
The 2026 edition is expected to surpass previous attendance records, making it a critical networking and business development opportunity for travel professionals. The events are designed to celebrate industry excellence, foster connections, and promote thought leadership, with sessions covering key trends affecting airlines, hotel groups, cruise lines, and travel technology vendors.
ATIA represents a substantial portion of Australia's AUD 70.6 billion travel industry. Its members handle significant transaction volumes and support a dynamic workforce across the country. The association's accredited programme maintains high standards, with 22% of applicants rejected for not meeting criteria. Currently, ATIA counts 1,100 accredited members across 1,700 locations, reinforcing its pivotal role in the travel sector.
For travel trade professionals looking to secure their place, early-bird packages offer a cost-effective way to participate in what is widely regarded as the must-attend event on the Australian travel calendar. The association encourages agents and operators to book promptly to avoid disappointment, given the historical sell-out trend.
