Asset World Corp Public Company Limited (AWC) has confirmed plans for the EA Wellness Club at The Empire in Bangkok, a project that will create Thailand's first integrated wellness lifestyle destination. The development, undertaken with VitalLife Scientific Wellness Centre — a subsidiary of Bumrungrad International Hospital — is scheduled to open its first phase in 2026 and reach full completion in 2027.
Situated in the heart of Bangkok's central business district, the EA Wellness Club will operate around the clock, blending wellness, dining, relaxation and community experiences under one roof. The venue is designed to appeal to a broad audience, including local residents, professionals and international visitors, with services ranging from preventive health and longevity programmes to holistic therapies and curated dining.
A strategic move for Thailand's wellness economy
AWC Chief Executive Officer Wallapa Traisorat framed the project as a key contributor to community engagement and the growth of Thailand's wellness sector. "Our collaboration with VitalLife brings trusted health and longevity expertise into this wider wellness ecosystem," she said.
The Empire, the landmark tower hosting the club, is itself being repositioned as a lifestyle workplace destination. By 2030, the property aims to redefine the office experience by combining premium workplace solutions with hospitality-inspired services. The Empire Co-Living will offer a private lifestyle clubhouse, while the EA Rooftop is set to become Bangkok's largest rooftop social destination, with panoramic views over the city.
VitalLife's CEO, Polakit Teekakirikul, highlighted the growing demand for proactive health management. "Our collaboration with AWC allows VitalLife to bring its expertise in integrated longevity medicine into the EA Wellness Club ecosystem," he noted.
The wellness club is part of a broader trend in Bangkok's hospitality and real estate sectors, where developers are increasingly integrating health-focused amenities into mixed-use projects. Similar concepts have emerged across the region, such as SENS Hotel Bangkok Kubon, which blends lodging with wellness and retail, and Four Seasons Langkawi's wellness immersion programs.
For travel professionals, the EA Wellness Club represents a notable addition to Bangkok's MICE and corporate travel offerings. The Empire's combination of office, co-living and wellness facilities could appeal to business travellers seeking extended stays with health-focused amenities. The project also aligns with Thailand's broader push to position itself as a global wellness tourism hub, a segment that has seen steady growth in recent years.
Industry observers will be watching how AWC leverages its partnership with a hospital-affiliated wellness provider to differentiate the club in a competitive market. The involvement of Bumrungrad, one of Asia's most recognised medical institutions, adds credibility to the longevity and preventive care claims.
With construction and development underway, the EA Wellness Club is expected to generate interest among hoteliers, tour operators and destination management companies looking to package wellness experiences for international visitors. The project's phased opening will allow AWC to refine its offering based on early demand.
As Bangkok continues to evolve as a hub for both business and leisure travel, the EA Wellness Club could set a new benchmark for integrated wellness destinations in Southeast Asia. The collaboration between a major Thai developer and a leading medical institution underscores the growing convergence of hospitality, health and real estate.
