Club Med has confirmed that reservations for its Summer 2027 season will open on 13 October 2026, giving travel advisors and their clients early access to peak-season inventory across the group's sun and mountain resorts. The early sales window is designed to secure preferred dates and unlock discounted rates, a strategy that has become standard across the all-inclusive sector.

The headline addition is the Epic Explorer Trail, a learning-focused programme rolling out sequentially at Club Med Bintan (September 2026), Club Med Borneo (January 2027), and Club Med Bali (July 2027). This initiative aligns with the group's push into experiential travel, targeting families and multi-generational groups seeking more than a standard beach holiday.

New flagship: Club Med Borneo

Set on the shores of Kuala Penyu in Sabah, Malaysia, Club Med Borneo will be the brand's first BREEAM-certified beach resort in Asia-Pacific. The property will feature 400 rooms, three dining venues, an infinity pool, and family activities inspired by the Rumah Rungus longhouses of northern Borneo. The certification underscores Club Med's commitment to sustainable construction, a growing differentiator in the region.

In South Africa, the new Club Med South Africa Beach & Safari resort on KwaZulu-Natal's Dolphin Coast combines a premium beachfront property with a private game reserve experience. The resort will offer 411 accommodations, two signature restaurants, four bars, three pools, and the brand's first-ever Surf School. Guests can also book guided Big Five game drives across an 18,000-hectare reserve, a format that bridges the gap between coastal leisure and safari tourism.

Upgrades across Asia and Europe

Beyond new openings, Club Med is investing in existing properties. In the Maldives, Club Med Kani will debut new overwater suites, while Club Med Bintan is redesigning its family rooms. In Hokkaido, both Club Med Kiroro Grand and Club Med Tomamu will introduce sports academies, catering to the growing demand for active winter holidays.

In Europe, Club Med Vittel Ermitage in France will welcome pets for the first time, a move that reflects broader hospitality trends toward pet-friendly travel. Meanwhile, Club Med Magna Marbella in Spain will add eight padel courts with expert coaching, tapping into the sport's rapid growth across the Mediterranean.

For travel agents, the early booking window is a key sales opportunity. Club Med's distribution strategy relies heavily on partnerships with tour operators and retail agencies, and the 2027 launch provides a clear timeline for clients planning long-lead holidays. The group's expansion into safari and adventure formats also opens new cross-selling possibilities with secondary destinations that are gaining traction as overtourism pressures mount.

Industry observers note that Club Med's move to open bookings nearly a year in advance is consistent with the broader trend of early-release inventory in the luxury and all-inclusive segments. Competitors such as Sandals and Iberostar have adopted similar strategies, and the approach helps stabilise occupancy and cash flow.

With the addition of Borneo and the South Africa property, Club Med is diversifying its geographic footprint beyond traditional beach and ski markets. The group's focus on sustainability, family programming, and active experiences positions it well for the 2027 season, and agents should be prepared to advise clients on the new options.
