Hilton has expanded its footprint in Southeast Asia with the debut of the DoubleTree by Hilton brand in Singapore. The newly opened DoubleTree by Hilton Singapore Robertson Quay, located at 401 Havelock Road along the Singapore River, brings 344 rooms and suites to one of the city-state's most vibrant waterfront districts.

The property targets a dual audience of corporate and leisure guests, offering a mix of city energy and quayside calm. Room sizes range from 24 to 50 square metres, with more than 200 rooms overlooking the river. The hotel's design uses warm earthy tones and locally inspired accents to create a residential, relaxed atmosphere—a deliberate departure from the more formal style of some full-service properties.

Facilities and meeting space

Business travellers will find seven meeting rooms capable of hosting up to 70 delegates, while leisure guests can use a 24-hour fitness centre and an outdoor pool. The property is within walking distance of Chinatown and Clarke Quay, and has easy access to public transport, making it a convenient base for exploring the city.

The opening marks a strategic move for Hilton in Singapore, where the company already operates several brands including Hilton Singapore Orchard and Conrad Centennial Singapore. The DoubleTree addition strengthens its mid-to-upscale portfolio in a market that continues to attract both regional and long-haul visitors.

New dining concepts

The hotel introduces two original dining venues. SAUS, an all-day restaurant, focuses on homegrown flavours and heritage cooking techniques, with dishes such as Nyonya Prawn Salad and Signature Beef Rendang. It will begin lunch and dinner service from 1 November 2026. Brew:33, a lounge, offers coffee, cookies, and craft beer, providing a casual spot for meetings or relaxation.

Vincent Ong, Hilton's vice president for Full Service Brands in Asia Pacific, said: "DoubleTree by Hilton has always been built on the brand belief that there is great power in small things; they make all the difference." The signature warm chocolate chip cookie, offered at check-in, embodies that philosophy.

To mark the opening, Hilton Honors members can earn 1,000 bonus points per night for stays until 31 December 2026. The promotion is designed to drive early occupancy and loyalty engagement.

The launch comes at a time when Singapore's hospitality sector is seeing renewed interest from international travellers. Recent data shows strong search demand from China, and the city-state continues to rank high in global mobility indexes, though its passport recently slipped to second place in a 2026 ranking. For hoteliers, the Robertson Quay location offers proximity to the central business district and the burgeoning lifestyle scene along the river.

DoubleTree by Hilton's arrival in Singapore adds to the brand's growing presence in Asia Pacific, where it operates in key gateway cities such as Bangkok, Kuala Lumpur, and Tokyo. The company sees the Singapore property as a template for future urban conversions and new builds in dense, mixed-use neighbourhoods.

With its blend of business amenities, leisure facilities, and locally inspired dining, the hotel is positioned to compete for both transient corporate bookings and weekend leisure stays. The inclusion of a dedicated events space also makes it a viable option for small-scale MICE gatherings, a segment that remains resilient in Singapore.

As Hilton continues to expand its brand portfolio across the region, the DoubleTree Singapore opening underscores the company's confidence in the city-state's long-term tourism prospects. The property is expected to benefit from the ongoing recovery in international arrivals and the growth of regional travel corridors.
