Ella Resorts has confirmed the launch of Ella Elyra, an adults-only eco-luxury resort on the northeastern coast of Corfu, with doors opening on 1 June 2027. The property becomes the group's fifth Mediterranean outpost and its second on the Ionian island, following the debut of Ella Alkyna in 2025.

The resort is designed around biophilic principles, blending sustainable architecture with local heritage. Guests will choose from six room categories, including configurations with sea views and private gardens. On-site dining spans eight restaurants and bars, with menus developed by award-winning chefs, including Michelin-recognised consultants. The Roée Wellness centre offers personalised treatments aimed at holistic relaxation.

Rethinking the all-inclusive model

Central to Ella Elyra's positioning is the 'Ellavated Bliss' concept, which moves away from conventional all-inclusive packages. Instead, guests receive a welcome of French Champagne, curated farewell gifts, and daily turndown service in select room types. Dining emphasises '0km' farm-to-table ingredients, and sommelier cellars feature both international and regional wines.

Panos Almyrantis, Chief Operations & Commercial Officer at Ella Resorts, said: "The opening of our newest property represents the next evolution of Ultra All Inclusive luxury. Today's travellers want the ease and freedom of an Ultra All Inclusive stay, whilst also seeking authenticity, exceptional gastronomy, a genuine connection to the destination, and a greater sense of wellbeing."

The move reflects a broader industry trend toward flexible, experience-led packages. Similar approaches are emerging across the sector, such as the Ultra All-Inclusive package at WorldHotels Long Beach Resort Phu Quoc and the tiered resort offerings detailed in Iberostar's Mexico portfolio.

Ella Elyra is positioned to appeal to luxury travellers seeking a deeper connection to the destination. The property's design incorporates local materials and traditional craftsmanship, while its culinary programme showcases Corfiot and Greek flavours. The resort also plans to offer cultural experiences such as olive oil tastings and visits to nearby villages.

For travel advisors, the new property adds another option in the Greek islands, a region that continues to see strong demand. Ella Resorts' expansion aligns with the growth of upscale, sustainable hospitality in the Mediterranean. The group's portfolio now spans Greece and Turkey, with Ella Elyra set to become a flagship for its eco-conscious approach.

As the opening date approaches, Ella Resorts is expected to release further details on room rates, booking terms, and the full roster of wellness and dining experiences. The company is also likely to announce partnerships with tour operators and online travel agencies to support distribution.

For professionals in the hospitality and travel trade, Ella Elyra represents a case study in how resorts can differentiate through sustainability, gastronomy, and flexible luxury. The property's emphasis on local sourcing and wellbeing may also resonate with the growing segment of travellers prioritising health and authenticity.
