Emirates is set to hold an invite-only cabin crew recruitment event in Singapore on 15 September 2026, as the Gulf carrier continues to scale its workforce to match an aggressive fleet expansion. The airline, which operates the world's largest international route network, is inviting aspiring candidates to apply through the Emirates Group Career website, with the event serving as a gateway to one of the most sought-after cabin crew roles in the industry.

The recruitment drive comes at a pivotal moment for Emirates. The carrier recently took delivery of its 27th Airbus A350, and its retrofit programme has now refurbished the 100th aircraft under a US$5 billion cabin upgrade initiative. With a further 46 A350s and 270 Boeing 777-9 and 777-8 aircraft on order, the airline is positioning itself for a significant capacity increase over the next decade. This order book, one of the largest in commercial aviation, will require a correspondingly larger cabin crew complement.

Training and benefits for new recruits

Successful applicants will undergo a comprehensive seven-and-a-half-week training programme at Emirates' Dubai hub, covering safety procedures, service standards, and hospitality excellence. The curriculum is designed to build core competencies in communication, teamwork, and problem-solving, ensuring that new crew members are prepared for the demands of a global network that spans six continents.

Emirates' cabin crew enjoy a multicultural working environment, with colleagues representing more than 151 nationalities. The airline offers a tax-free salary, furnished accommodation, and concessional travel benefits, which have long made it a magnet for hospitality professionals worldwide. The company is also developing a new Cabin Crew Village in Dubai, designed to house up to 12,000 crew members, with a focus on wellbeing and community.

The Singapore event is part of a broader recruitment strategy that targets key talent markets across Asia and beyond. Singapore, with its strong aviation and hospitality ecosystem, is a natural location for Emirates to tap into a pool of experienced service professionals. The city-state's status as a regional aviation hub, reinforced by its Changi Airport infrastructure and the recent event-led demand reshaping Southeast Asia hotel valuations, makes it a strategic recruitment centre.

Emirates' expansion is not limited to crew hiring. The airline has also been enhancing its onboard product, such as the recent introduction of electric privacy screens in A350 premium economy, which underscores its commitment to premium travel experiences. These investments are designed to maintain Emirates' competitive edge as it grows its fleet and network.

For travel professionals, the recruitment event signals Emirates' confidence in the long-term recovery of international air travel. The airline's order book and retrofit programme represent a multibillion-dollar bet on sustained demand for premium and long-haul travel. As Emirates continues to expand its operations, the Singapore event is a clear indicator of its intent to secure top-tier cabin crew talent to support its growth trajectory.

Interested candidates are advised to apply early, as the event is invite-only and places are limited. Emirates' recruitment team will review applications and extend invitations to those who best match the airline's service culture and operational requirements.
