FCM Travel has secured a landmark 10-year global partnership with Arcadis, a leading design and consultancy firm operating in over 25 countries. The agreement consolidates Arcadis' travel, meetings, events, and consulting services under FCM's management, marking a significant departure from the typical three-to-five-year procurement cycles common in the corporate travel sector.
Melissa Elf, Global Managing Director of FCM Travel, said: "Securing a 10-year partnership with a global leader like Arcadis validates our ‘alternative’ mindset in the corporate travel space." The deal positions the travel function as a value driver rather than a cost center, with both companies focusing on strategic planning and proactive solutions.
Strategic shift in procurement
Jo Lloyd, Global Head of Account Management for FCM Consulting, noted that the extension from a three-year to a ten-year deal underscores the value of FCM's approach. "Going from a three-year deal to a ten-year deal is thanks to the journey FCM is on and the belief we have in working with customers for dual progression," she said. The partnership leverages FCM's platform, which offers predictive analytics and global standardisation across Arcadis' operations.
Ian Spearing, Arcadis Director of Travel, emphasised the strategic nature of the agreement: "Our long-term partnership with FCM is a strategic investment in collaborative innovation and service excellence." The deal aims to streamline operations and enhance client service, with a focus on sustainable growth and improved user experience.
This partnership is expected to redefine expectations in the travel management sector, particularly for multinational firms seeking long-term stability and innovation. For more on similar long-term corporate travel strategies, see FCM Travel and Arcadis sign decade-long corporate travel deal.
The agreement also aligns with broader industry trends toward consolidation and strategic partnerships, as seen in recent moves by other travel management companies. For instance, Accor's Global Leadership Council maps 2026 hospitality trends highlighting AI and loyalty, while Thailand deepens tourism ties with Western China through air route expansion.
FCM Travel's parent company, Flight Centre Travel Group, has been expanding its corporate travel footprint globally, with this deal reinforcing its position in the MICE and consulting segments. The partnership is set to deliver enhanced value for Arcadis, which operates in sectors including infrastructure, water, and environment.
