FCM Travel Asia has announced a significant restructuring of its Japan leadership, appointing Benjamin Beh as General Manager of FCM Travel Japan. Beh, who brings more than two decades of corporate travel expertise, will oversee the company's operations in one of Asia's most dynamic business travel markets.
Beh's career includes senior roles at BCD Travel and Abbott, and he has extensive experience working in Japan. His mandate is to deepen client relationships and expand FCM's footprint across the country, aligning with the company's broader growth strategy in the region.
New leadership team takes shape
Joining Beh are two internal promotions: Aki Yonezu has been named Head of Account Management and Meetings & Events, while Norimasa Arase takes on the role of Sales & Marketing Manager. Yonezu has spent seven years with Flight Centre Travel Group, FCM's parent company, and will focus on enhancing service delivery for corporate clients. Arase brings two decades of sales and marketing experience in Japan's travel sector, which will be key to driving new business.
The team is further strengthened by the appointment of Joe Nakazawa as Director of Supplier Relations and Strategic Partnerships. Nakazawa's background includes senior positions at the International Air Transport Association (IATA), Tourism Australia, and Japan Travel Bureau, giving him deep industry knowledge and a robust network of contacts.
Vicki Parris, Managing Director of FCM Travel Asia, emphasized the importance of Japan to the company's growth plans. "With this team, we have the right mix of experience and relationships to grow our business in Japan and support our customers as their needs evolve," she said. The appointments reflect FCM's commitment to leveraging its global network and technology to meet client demands.
Japan remains a key market for corporate travel, with recent data showing strong inbound interest from Australia and the Gulf region. The country's appeal as a business and leisure destination continues to grow, and FCM's investment in local leadership signals its intent to capture a larger share of this market.
The new leadership team will also focus on strengthening FCM's technology offerings and ensuring that clients benefit from the company's global scale. With a mix of internal talent and external expertise, FCM Travel Japan is well-positioned to navigate the evolving corporate travel landscape.
