flyExclusive, the Kinston, North Carolina-based private aviation operator, has appointed Brian P. Reid as chief commercial officer, effective 24 August 2026. Reid will lead the company's commercial strategy, with a mandate to drive sustainable revenue growth and elevate the customer experience across its Jet Club, Fractional, and Retail Charter Sales divisions, as well as marketing and member services.

Reid brings more than three decades of strategic business development experience spanning private aviation and luxury real estate. Most recently, he served as executive vice president at a major private aviation platform, where he secured high-profile partnerships with American Express and Goldman Sachs. Earlier, he was chief sales and marketing officer at Thomas James Homes, and he has also led ventures with brands such as Nike and the NFL.

Leadership and growth focus

Jim Segrave, founder and CEO of flyExclusive, welcomed Reid to the team. "We're thrilled to welcome Brian to flyExclusive. He brings deep private aviation experience and a proven track record of growing revenue at scale," Segrave said.

Reid's appointment comes on the heels of a strong financial performance. flyExclusive reported record revenue of $111.1 million (£88.5 million) in Q2 2026, a 22% increase year over year. The company also projected adjusted EBITDA of $5 million (£4 million) to $7 million (£5.6 million) for Q3 2026.

In his new role, Reid will focus on expanding the company's recurring revenue base and enhancing partnership channels. His leadership is expected to strengthen flyExclusive's market position and operational leverage as the private aviation sector continues to consolidate and evolve.

The appointment reflects a broader trend of travel companies bringing in seasoned commercial leaders to drive growth. For example, Travelport recently named an Oracle veteran as its chief revenue officer, and Plaza Premium Group appointed a new chief development officer. These moves underscore the industry's focus on commercial excellence and strategic partnerships.

flyExclusive operates a fleet of light and mid-size jets, offering fractional ownership, jet cards, and charter services. The company has been expanding its footprint, with a focus on technology-driven efficiency and customer-centric offerings.

Reid's background in luxury real estate and premium brand partnerships aligns with flyExclusive's positioning in the high-end travel market. His experience with American Express and Goldman Sachs is particularly relevant as the company looks to deepen relationships with corporate clients and high-net-worth individuals.

As the private aviation industry faces increasing competition and evolving customer expectations, flyExclusive's investment in commercial leadership signals its commitment to maintaining a competitive edge. With Reid on board, the company aims to capitalize on its recent growth momentum and further solidify its standing in the market.
