Four Seasons Hotel Mumbai is turning its Opus restaurant into a tribute to Italian home cooking with a limited-time menu dubbed Nonna's Kitchen. Running from 12 to 20 September 2026, the culinary programme focuses on handmade pasta, a craft that sits at the heart of Italy's gastronomic identity. The initiative underscores the hotel's broader push to differentiate its dining offerings in Mumbai's competitive luxury hospitality market.

The menu, built around Italian durum wheat, features a range of pasta shapes and fillings designed to evoke the warmth of a family kitchen. Highlights include Confit Duck Tortellini with Parmesan Foam and Lobster and Morel Fagottini with Tobiko Hollandaise. For vegetarian diners, the kitchen will serve Wild Mushroom and Taleggio Cappelletti with Fresh Truffle, alongside Asparagus and Mascarpone Spiral Agnolotti.

Bringing Italian tradition to Mumbai

Nitesh Gandhi, General Manager of Four Seasons Hotel Mumbai, framed the menu as more than a seasonal promotion. “Food is one of the most powerful ways to experience a culture, and handmade pasta captures the very essence of Italian cooking. With Nonna's Kitchen, we wanted to bring an authentic taste of Italy to Mumbai, recreating the warmth and simplicity of a traditional Italian kitchen, right here at Opus,” he said.

The restaurant will serve Nonna's Kitchen during both lunch and dinner, with a price point of approximately USD 72 (INR 6,000) plus taxes for two guests. Reservations are being taken directly by the hotel, a move that also allows the F&B team to manage table turns and ingredient sourcing with precision.

For travel professionals, the promotion is a reminder of how luxury hotels are leveraging food as a differentiator in urban markets. Mumbai's hotel scene has seen a wave of culinary investment, from chef-driven concepts to regional pop-ups. Four Seasons' focus on handmade pasta taps into a broader trend of artisanal, experience-led dining that appeals to both international travellers and local food enthusiasts.

The hotel's dining portfolio has been gaining recognition beyond the city. Earlier this year, AER at Four Seasons Mumbai was named among India's top bars by Tatler, underscoring the property's ability to create buzz-worthy F&B venues. Nonna's Kitchen extends that strategy to the restaurant level, offering a time-bound reason for guests and locals to visit.

For agents and tour operators, the menu provides a concrete hook for clients seeking authentic culinary experiences in Mumbai. The hotel's central location in Worli makes it a convenient stop for business travellers and leisure visitors alike. The pricing, while premium, aligns with the property's five-star positioning and the quality of ingredients involved.

Four Seasons has been active across its portfolio in rolling out distinctive dining and wellness concepts. In the Maldives, the brand has tailored family escapes across three islands, while in Langkawi it added wellness immersion programs. The Mumbai pasta menu is a more compact, city-focused initiative, but it reflects the same attention to guest experience that defines the group's approach.

Nonna's Kitchen also arrives at a time when Italian cuisine continues to hold strong appeal in India's metro cities. The combination of handmade pasta, premium fillings like lobster and truffle, and a limited run creates a sense of occasion that can drive both media coverage and direct bookings. For hoteliers, it's a case study in how a well-executed F&B promotion can enhance a property's local reputation and support broader revenue goals.

Guests interested in the experience can contact the hotel directly to reserve a table. With only nine days on the calendar, the window is short, and the hotel is likely to see strong demand from both regular patrons and those drawn by the novelty of the concept.
