Hilton has expanded its lifestyle portfolio in Southeast Asia with the debut of Tapestry Collection by Hilton in Vietnam. The brand's first property in the country, NHAAN Resort & Spa Hoi An, opened along the Co Co River in the UNESCO-listed town of Hoi An, offering 174 rooms that merge contemporary comfort with the destination's cultural and natural surroundings.
The resort was designed by Vo Trong Nghia, a Vietnamese architect known for his bamboo and green architecture. The biophilic design incorporates expansive windows, locally sourced materials, and organic textures, creating an open-air sanctuary set within palm gardens and waterways. This approach aligns with a broader trend in Vietnam's hospitality sector, where developers are increasingly prioritizing sustainable and culturally immersive experiences.
Alexandra Murray, Hilton's area vice president for Southeast Asia, said in a statement: “The debut of Tapestry Collection by Hilton in Hoi An broadens the lifestyle experiences we offer in the country, with a resort that reflects the pace, heritage, and craft of Hoi An whilst delivering Hilton’s signature hospitality.”
Guest experiences and amenities
NHAAN Resort & Spa Hoi An is designed to immerse guests in local culture. Activities include craft workshops where visitors can learn traditional techniques, as well as bicycle tours through the surrounding countryside. The property also offers a range of dining venues, including Keng Restaurant, which serves Vietnamese and international dishes, and Plait Restaurant, which focuses on fresh seafood.
For wellness, the eforea spa & health club provides treatments that combine modern techniques with native herbs. A 24/7 fitness center and an outdoor infinity pool round out the recreational options.
The resort was developed by Dat Phuong Group, a Vietnamese real estate developer. The opening marks a strategic move for Hilton, which has been growing its lifestyle brands across Asia. Tapestry Collection, which launched in 2017, now includes more than 100 properties worldwide, each designed to reflect its local environment.
Hoi An, a well-established tourist destination, has seen a surge in upscale hotel openings in recent years. The town's appeal lies in its preserved architecture, lantern-lit streets, and proximity to beaches. For Hilton, the new resort strengthens its presence in Vietnam, where it also operates brands such as Hilton Hotels & Resorts, DoubleTree by Hilton, and Conrad.
The opening comes as Vietnam's tourism industry continues to recover and evolve. The country has been actively courting international visitors, and recent data shows that business travel is on the rise, with corporate visitors spending more than leisure travelers. This trend is likely to benefit properties like NHAAN, which can cater to both leisure and corporate segments.
Hilton's move also reflects a broader industry shift toward lifestyle and independent-brand hotels. As travelers seek authentic experiences, hotel groups are expanding their soft-brand collections. Tapestry Collection competes with Marriott's Autograph Collection and Hyatt's Unbound Collection, offering owners the flexibility to maintain their property's unique identity while leveraging Hilton's distribution and loyalty platform.
For travel advisors and agents, the new resort provides another option for clients seeking a culturally rich stay in central Vietnam. The property's design and activities are likely to appeal to luxury and experiential travelers, a segment that has shown resilience in the post-pandemic era.
NHAAN Resort & Spa Hoi An is now open for bookings, with introductory rates available. Hilton says the property is expected to become a key destination for travelers looking for an authentic Vietnamese experience.
