Two of Europe’s most storied lakeside hotels—Il Sereno Lago di Como and Kulm Hotel St. Moritz—have partnered to create a seamless summer itinerary that connects Italian elegance with Swiss alpine refinement. Available from 12 June to 30 August 2026, the “Lake to Lake” experience is designed for discerning travellers who view the journey itself as part of the luxury. Both properties are members of The Leading Hotels of the World.

Itinerary Overview: From Lake Como to the Engadin Valley

The package begins with two nights at Il Sereno Lago di Como, where guests stay in contemporary waterfront suites featuring floor-to-ceiling windows and expansive terraces. Dinner at Il Sereno Al Lago, the Michelin-starred restaurant overseen by Executive Chef Raffaele Lenzi, is included. Guests can also arrange private lake excursions aboard Ernesto Riva boats, adding a layer of bespoke exploration to the lakeside stay.

From there, the journey continues across scenic lakeshores and alpine passes into Switzerland. Travellers may drive their own vintage or high-performance vehicle, or opt for a curated drive with a Ferrari Roma Spider or vintage Alfa Romeo Spider through 100 All’Ora. A bespoke music playlist by Arman Naféei accompanies the drive, reinforcing the trip’s emphasis on atmosphere and sensory detail.

Il Sereno: Design, Dining, and a New Listening Suite

Il Sereno has established itself as a modern luxury address on Lake Como, known for its sleek design and strong sense of place. The hotel’s freshwater infinity pool and spa complement the waterfront suites. A standout addition is the Darsena Listening Suite, designed for audiophiles who want to enjoy high-fidelity sound while taking in lake views from the terrace. The property’s culinary program, led by Chef Lenzi, offers a fine-dining edge, while the spa and lakefront setting encourage a relaxed pace.

Kulm Hotel St. Moritz: Alpine Sophistication

On the Swiss side, Kulm Hotel St. Moritz provides a contrasting yet equally compelling mood. Guests settle into elegant Junior Suites with lake or mountain views, then enjoy a 50-minute relaxation massage at the award-winning Kulm Spa. The hotel’s perch above Lake St. Moritz gives the experience a distinctly alpine lift. Days can be active or leisurely, with options including golf, tennis, swimming, paddleboarding, and lakeside dining across six restaurants, including Mauro Colagreco’s Kulm Country Club. Evening aperitivo hours feature music curated by Arman Naféei and weekend DJs, blending modern energy with the hotel’s heritage feel.

Why This Collaboration Matters for Travel Professionals

This partnership stands out not merely for the luxury on offer, but for how it connects two iconic destinations into a single, savoured journey. Instead of rushing between hotels, the road itself becomes part of the narrative—a smart approach for guests who value design, scenery, and a sense of occasion. As Dean Bannon of The Leading Hotels of the World noted, the collaboration reflects the organisation’s mission to create uncommon experiences that extend beyond a single stay. For travel agents and tour operators, this represents a compelling product for clients seeking a curated, multi-destination summer escape that blends Italian lakeside serenity with Swiss alpine glamour.
