ITC Hotels Limited continues to strengthen its presence in Rajasthan with the signing of a management agreement for a new Welcomhotel in Salasar. The 145-key property, set on a six-acre site, is designed to serve the growing demand for pilgrimage tourism, destination weddings, and leisure travel in one of India's most revered spiritual destinations.

Strategic Expansion in High-Potential Markets

The Welcomhotel Salasar is part of ITC Hotels' broader strategy to expand its footprint in high-potential areas while celebrating India's cultural heritage. The hotel will feature 145 guest rooms and suites, an all-day dining restaurant, a lounge, and approximately 12,000 square feet of indoor banqueting and event space. Recreational amenities include a swimming pool, spa, fitness centre, and a dedicated kids' club, offering a comprehensive experience for families and groups.

Anil Chadha, Managing Director of ITC Hotels Limited, commented: "Rajasthan remains one of India's most loved tourism destinations, drawing visitors through its unique blend of heritage charm, culture, spirituality, and festivity. Salasar occupies a special place within this landscape, attracting visitors from across the globe."

The hotel's design reflects Rajasthan's architectural grandeur, incorporating traditional courtyards, elegant arches, and regional motifs. This aligns with ITC Hotels' commitment to responsible hospitality and sustainability, as the chain leads globally in LEED Zero Water and LEED Zero Carbon certifications.

Salasar is home to the renowned Salasar Balaji Temple, which attracts numerous pilgrims annually. The new Welcomhotel aims to enhance the pilgrim experience and meet the evolving needs of visitors seeking immersive venues for celebrations and special occasions.

This development follows ITC Hotels' recent signing of a management deal for a 101-key Welcomhotel in Gandhinagar, Gujarat, as part of its ongoing expansion across India. The group now operates over 120 hotels across 70 destinations, with a pipeline of more than 50 properties under development.

For travel professionals, the Welcomhotel Salasar represents a new option for pilgrimage and wedding groups in Rajasthan. The property's large event space and family-friendly facilities position it to capture a share of the growing MICE and destination wedding market in the region.

ITC Hotels' focus on sustainability also offers a selling point for corporate clients and eco-conscious travellers. The chain's LEED certifications provide a credible framework for responsible hospitality, which is increasingly important in the luxury and MICE segments.

The Welcomhotel Salasar is expected to open in 2026, subject to regulatory approvals. ITC Hotels has not disclosed the investment amount for the project.
