Laguna Phuket, the integrated resort destination on Phuket's west coast, is sharpening its focus on the fast-growing multi-generational travel segment. With school holidays approaching, the resort group is rolling out a broader array of accommodations, activities, and dining options designed to let extended families vacation together while still pursuing individual interests.

The destination encompasses more than 1,400 rooms across five properties: Angsana Laguna Phuket, Cassia Phuket, Dusit Thani Laguna Phuket, Homm Suites Laguna, and SAii Laguna Phuket. Accommodation choices now include loft-style suites, two-bedroom pool suites, and beachfront villas, giving families the space and privacy they need. Complimentary shuttle buses and boats connect the hotels, restaurants, and facilities, making it easy for relatives staying in different properties to meet up.

Activity programming for every generation

Angsana Laguna Phuket leads with more than 101 activities, ranging from water sports to wellness sessions. Dusit Thani Laguna Phuket combines cultural discovery with wellbeing offerings, while Cassia Phuket introduces a pet-friendly atmosphere complete with outdoor movie nights and cooking classes. Homm Suites Laguna focuses on wellness and fitness, and SAii Laguna Phuket has launched the Mafeung & Mafai Junior Beach Club & Camp for younger guests.

“We see multi-generational travel as a key driver for Phuket’s recovery and growth,” said a Laguna Phuket spokesperson. “Our goal is to create a seamless experience where grandparents, parents, and children can enjoy quality time together, yet also pursue their own passions.”

Dining is equally diverse, with venues such as Azzurra and Bodega & Grill at Angsana Laguna Phuket, and the Casuarina Beach Club at Dusit Thani Laguna Phuket offering distinct culinary experiences. The “Stay More, Pay Less” package at Angsana and the “Peace of Mind for Less” package at SAii are designed to encourage longer, more relaxed stays.

The move aligns with broader trends in Southeast Asia, where adventure travel is pivoting to meaningful, low-risk experiences that appeal to families. Similar strategies are emerging elsewhere in the region, such as Hyatt Regency Danang adding pickleball and farm experiences to attract group travelers.

For travel agents and tour operators, the expanded offerings at Laguna Phuket present new opportunities to package multi-generational holidays. The resort’s integrated layout and range of price points—from the value-oriented Cassia to the upscale Angsana—make it easier to match diverse family budgets and preferences.

As the demand for multi-generational trips continues to rise, destinations like Phuket are positioning themselves to capture a share of this lucrative market. With its comprehensive facilities and targeted packages, Laguna Phuket is betting that families will choose to spend their holidays together—while still having the freedom to go their separate ways.
