The Lux Collective has unveiled its festive season programming across its portfolio of Mauritius resorts, with each property adopting a distinct theme designed to appeal to luxury travellers seeking culturally rich and sustainable holiday experiences. The celebrations run from late December 2026 through early January 2027, covering the peak festive travel period.

Flagship resort leads with immersive light experience

At LUX* Grand Baie, the group's flagship property, the theme “The House of Light” will transform the resort into an immersive celebration from 23 December 2026 to 8 January 2027. The programme includes beachside apéritifs, rooftop soirées, and wellness rituals, culminating in dedicated Christmas and New Year's Eve events. The resort, known for its contemporary design and ocean views, aims to deliver a multi-sensory experience that blends entertainment with relaxation.

LUX* Le Morne, set against the dramatic backdrop of Le Morne Brabant, will host “Timeless Memories,” featuring sunset catamaran cruises and exclusive dinners. The highlight is a New Year's Eve masquerade, offering guests a chance to celebrate in an atmosphere of mystery and elegance. The property's location, a UNESCO World Heritage site, adds a layer of cultural significance to the festivities.

Retro chic and sustainability themes

LUX* Grand Gaube will embrace “Island Nights & Golden Lights,” a retro chic concept with curated menus and lively entertainment. The New Year's Eve Tropical Gala Night is expected to be a standout, combining vintage aesthetics with modern hospitality. Meanwhile, LUX* Belle Mare will focus on “Ocean of Light,” a theme centred on sustainability and local culture, with activities that highlight the natural beauty of Mauritius and encourage environmental awareness.

SALT of Palmar, known for its community-focused approach, will offer a “Festive Escape Filled with Meaningful Moments” from 22 December 2026 to 2 January 2027. The programme includes immersive dining experiences and cultural activities designed to connect guests with local traditions. Tamassa Bel Ombre will go for a vibrant “Glow In The Dark” theme, with outdoor activities and nightly entertainment that appeal to families and younger travellers.

Private island exclusivity

For those seeking a more exclusive experience, Île des Deux Cocos will transform into “Island After Dark,” offering evening celebrations with island-inspired cuisine and live entertainment. The private island, accessible by boat from the mainland, provides a secluded setting for guests looking to escape the crowds.

The festive programming reflects The Lux Collective's broader strategy to position Mauritius as a premier holiday destination during the winter season in the Northern Hemisphere. The group, which operates properties across the Indian Ocean and Asia, has been investing in experiential offerings to differentiate its resorts in a competitive luxury market.

Travel advisors and tour operators can expect increased demand for these themed packages, particularly among clients seeking unique holiday experiences. The emphasis on sustainability at LUX* Belle Mare and the cultural immersion at SALT of Palmar align with growing traveller preferences for responsible tourism.

The Lux Collective's festive plans also complement broader destination marketing efforts in Mauritius, which has been working to attract high-spending visitors. The island's tourism board has reported steady growth in arrivals from Europe and Asia, and the festive season is a key period for the local hospitality sector.

For agents, the variety of themes across the seven properties offers multiple selling points, from family-friendly options at Tamassa Bel Ombre to romantic escapes at LUX* Le Morne. The group's commitment to creating memorable and sustainable experiences is likely to resonate with clients who value both luxury and environmental responsibility.

As the travel industry continues to recover, The Lux Collective's proactive approach to festive programming demonstrates how hotel groups can leverage seasonal events to drive occupancy and revenue. The company has not yet announced pricing or package details, but early indications suggest a strong focus on exclusive experiences and personalised service.
