Meliá Hotels & Resorts has expanded its Vietnam portfolio with the opening of Meliá Aurea Nha Trang, an upper-upscale oceanfront resort that debuted on 12 August 2026. Located beside the all-villa Gran Meliá property Villa Le Corail, the new resort brings a more accessible expression of the Meliá lifestyle to central Vietnam, combining Mediterranean soul with the group's signature Spanish warmth.

Situated 15 minutes from Nha Trang's city centre, the resort offers a secluded feel despite its connectivity, with views of the sea, sky, and lush mountains. Guests can explore the Hon Mun Marine Protected Area for snorkelling, visit the ancient Po Nagar Tower built by the Champa civilisation, or enjoy picnics on Hòn Chồng and Hang Heo beaches. The location suits solo travellers, couples, and families alike.

Oceanfront living with a Mediterranean soul

All 207 rooms and suites feature private balconies, modern open-plan interiors, and light-filled spaces, with most offering ocean views. The Level, Meliá's signature elevated experience, provides exclusive lounge access, private check-in, concierge service, afternoon tea, all-day refreshments, and premium in-room amenities.

Dining spans three venues. Ciao Chào, the all-day restaurant, merges Italian culinary artistry with Vietnam's rice-based traditions, featuring wood-fired pizza ovens, homemade pasta, roving chef trolleys, and fresh Vietnamese seafood. Its open-air terrace and on-site herb garden enhance the experience. Boreal, in the lobby, is a multicultural gathering place inspired by the northern lights, serving coffee, cocktails, and conversation from morning to night. O'LULA Pool Club by the water captures summer energy with coastal dishes and refreshing drinks.

Wellbeing is integrated into daily life, with direct beach access, coastal walking paths, swimming, snorkelling, and a fully equipped fitness centre. YHI Spa draws on Champa heritage rituals and the grounding energy of the earth for a holistic seaside sanctuary. Kidsdom Club offers a dedicated children's pool and outdoor spaces for family time.

This opening reinforces Meliá Hotels International's position as one of the largest international hotel groups in Vietnam, with 22 hotels currently operating and five more slated to open in the next two to three years. The company's broader expansion in the region is notable, with recent developments such as Hilton's Tapestry Collection debut in Hoi An highlighting the growing interest in Vietnam's hospitality market.

Meliá Aurea Nha Trang is located between Turtle Island and Fairy Mountain, with Cam Ranh International Airport 48 kilometres away. For more information, visit the official Meliá website.
