Red Sea Global (RSG) has officially opened Nammos Resort AMAALA, marking the first hotel venture for the Mykonos-born lifestyle brand outside Greece. The property, located on Saudi Arabia's Red Sea coast, brings Nammos' signature Mediterranean hospitality to the Middle East, adding a new dimension to the AMAALA development.
Designed by Foster + Partners, the resort comprises 110 rooms and suites, along with 20 private branded residences. It is the sixth resort to open at AMAALA, which is planned to eventually include over 1,600 hotel rooms across nine resorts. The architecture draws inspiration from the Cyclades and Saudi Arabia's coastal heritage, blending contemporary luxury with the natural environment.
Signature experiences and wellness debut
The resort features the signature Nammos Beach Club, located on a private island accessible by boardwalk or jetty, and introduces the Nammos Spa, which offers unique wellness experiences such as late-night sound healing and spa parties. Carolyn Turnbull, CEO of Nammos Hotels & Resorts, said, "Today is much more than the opening of a hotel. It is the beginning of an entirely new chapter for Nammos."
Guests can enjoy a range of activities, including marine adventures, wellness trails, and equestrian pursuits. The Blu Kids Club provides nature-inspired learning for younger visitors. The Nammos Residences AMAALA, managed by Nammos Hotels & Resorts, offer panoramic views and access to the resort's amenities.
This opening follows the recent debut of Equinox Resort AMAALA, the first international property for the Equinox brand. With three more resorts expected to open at AMAALA in the coming months, the destination is rapidly expanding its luxury lifestyle and wellness offerings.
Red Sea Global's strategy for AMAALA is part of a broader push to position Saudi Arabia as a premier global tourism destination, complementing other developments along the Red Sea coast. The addition of Nammos, known for its high-energy beach clubs and celebrity following, is expected to attract a discerning international clientele.
For travel professionals, the opening signals growing opportunities in the region's luxury hospitality sector. As AMAALA continues to add properties, tour operators and agents can begin to package these new experiences for clients seeking exclusive, wellness-focused getaways.
