Octola, the Finnish luxury hospitality brand, will open its third property — Octola III — on 1 December 2026, just ahead of the Christmas season. Located on a former radar station within a vast private wilderness in Arctic Lapland, the retreat is designed for travel professionals seeking to offer clients an ultra-exclusive Arctic experience rooted in Sami traditions.

Invitation-Only Model with Curated Access

Octola III operates strictly as an invitation-only destination, accommodating up to six guests across three master suites. Access is granted via a curated private waiting list, ensuring that only a select few experience the property’s rare seclusion. The fully serviced retreat includes a personal chef and host, tailoring every detail to guests’ preferences — a model that appeals to luxury travel advisors and high-net-worth clientele.

For larger parties, a full private buyout of the 1,000m² Aurora Radar Station offers a discreet solution for accompanying staff, security personnel, or additional guests. The buyout option (230m²) provides exclusive command over the main lodge and its entire grounds, creating an ultra-private experience.

Bespoke Arctic Wellness and Leisure

The retreat offers a private sanctuary for wellness and leisure, deeply rooted in Sami traditions. Guests enjoy a private wood-burning sauna, an ice-swimming pond, and a suite of bespoke Arctic experiences designed to immerse them in the wilderness. The private games den — a 220m² leisure complex — features a fully stocked bar, a specialised indoor track, billiards, and a professional darts set-up, providing entertainment in the heart of the Arctic.

Octola III’s suite options include a single suite (48m²), a two-suite option (181.5m²), and the full buyout (230m²). This flexibility allows travel agents and tour operators to tailor stays for different group sizes, from intimate couples to extended family parties.

Location and Access

Situated in Enontekiö, Finnish Lapland, Octola III is reachable via Enontekiö Arctic Airport (ENF), providing convenient access to this remote sanctuary. The former radar station’s location within expansive private wilderness ensures guests experience the authentic Arctic environment while enjoying premium hospitality and bespoke amenities.

For travel professionals, this opening adds a rare ultra-luxury option in the Nordic region, complementing existing high-end properties such as Banyan Tree’s first European resort in Montenegro and the flexible luxury model at Rah Gili Maldives. The invitation-only approach positions Octola III as a niche product for discerning travellers seeking complete seclusion.
