Park Hyatt has confirmed the opening of its first Vietnam property, Park Hyatt Phu Quoc, scheduled for December 2026. The resort, set on the island's southwest coast, will blend contemporary luxury with Vietnamese village aesthetics, offering a distinct cultural experience for international travelers.

Resort layout and accommodations

Spanning 65 hectares, the property will include 114 guestrooms and suites, 54 pool villas, and an eight-bedroom private residence called The Manor. The design draws on the region's fishing village heritage, with architecture and landscaping that evoke a seaside community.

Guests will have access to curated itineraries that highlight local traditions, such as joining rice farmers in the paddies, learning traditional fishing techniques, and visiting the Whale Temple to understand island customs. These experiences aim to position the resort as a gateway to Phu Quoc's cultural and natural attractions.

Dining and wellness

The culinary program will feature six venues, including Fisherman's, a floating seafood restaurant, and Herbs & Spice, which focuses on Vietnamese family recipes. Executive Chef Sheldon Fonseca will oversee the kitchens, bringing a diverse range of dining options that cater to both international and regional palates.

Wellness facilities will be anchored by SOMA Wellbeing, Park Hyatt's first rhythm-led spa. Treatments are designed to align with natural cycles and incorporate modern recovery tools, appealing to the growing demand for holistic travel experiences.

For families, the Kids' Village will offer culinary classes, dance studios, and craft workshops, ensuring younger guests have engaging activities while parents enjoy the resort's amenities.

Location and booking details

Located 25 minutes from Phu Quoc International Airport, the resort provides convenient access to the island's beaches and cultural sites. Reservations are now open for arrivals starting 18 December 2026, with a New Year's Eve Gala Dinner included for adult guests staying on 31 December 2026.

The opening adds to Phu Quoc's growing luxury hospitality scene, which has seen recent developments such as AMÉRYS Hotel Phu Quoc targeting Australian families. As Vietnam's tourism rebounds, the island is becoming a key destination for upscale travelers, and Park Hyatt's entry is expected to raise the competitive bar.

Industry observers note that the resort's emphasis on cultural immersion and wellness aligns with broader trends in luxury travel, where guests seek authentic experiences alongside high-end comfort. The property's scale and unique positioning could make it a benchmark for future developments in the region.
