JW Marriott Mumbai Juhu has appointed Sameer Bhargava as its new Director of Food & Beverage, a move that signals the hotel's commitment to enhancing its dining portfolio in one of India's most competitive hospitality markets. Bhargava brings 18 years of industry experience, including 12 years in F&B leadership roles across luxury properties.
In his new role, Bhargava will oversee the hotel's restaurants, bars, banquets, and in-room dining operations. He joins from The Leela Palace Chennai, where he managed a seven-venue operation and focused on culinary innovation and strategic partnerships. His previous experience spans multiple luxury hotels in India, where he handled diverse restaurant concepts, from fine dining to all-day dining, as well as large-scale banquet operations.
Bhargava's expertise is complemented by his completion of the Wine and Spirit Education Trust Level 2 course, which deepens his knowledge of wine and beverage pairings—a key asset for a hotel known for its upscale dining experiences.
Elevating Mumbai's dining scene
At JW Marriott Mumbai Juhu, Bhargava aims to evolve the hotel's culinary offerings and create engaging experiences for both guests and local diners. His appointment comes as the hotel seeks to strengthen its existing venues and explore new opportunities to captivate the city's discerning palates.
"I am excited to join the team at JW Marriott Mumbai Juhu and look forward to building on the hotel's reputation for exceptional dining," said Bhargava. "My focus will be on innovation, quality, and creating memorable moments for our guests."
The hotel's F&B team will benefit from Bhargava's track record of driving revenue and guest satisfaction through creative menu development and operational excellence. His leadership is expected to enhance the property's position in Mumbai's competitive luxury hospitality sector.
JW Marriott is part of Marriott International's luxury portfolio, with over 100 hotels in more than 30 countries. The brand emphasizes mindfulness, offering guests experiences that encourage them to be fully present and foster meaningful connections. This philosophy extends to its dining venues, which aim to provide not just meals but immersive culinary journeys.
Bhargava's appointment follows the recent naming of Harshad Makasare as sales director at the same property, reflecting a broader effort to strengthen the hotel's leadership team. As Mumbai's hospitality scene continues to evolve, JW Marriott Mumbai Juhu is positioning itself to remain a top choice for both business and leisure travelers.
With his extensive background and strategic vision, Bhargava is poised to make a significant impact on the hotel's F&B operations, ensuring that JW Marriott Mumbai Juhu continues to set benchmarks in luxury hospitality.
