The Shilla is strengthening its footprint in Vietnam with the upcoming launch of Shilla Monogram Hanoi Westlake, scheduled to open on 23 October 2026. This marks the brand's entry into Hanoi, following its debut in Da Nang in 2020 and subsequent openings in Gangneung, South Korea, and Xi'an, China.

Located at 6 Hoang Minh Thao Street in Xuan Dinh Ward, the hotel sits in the West Lake area, a district rapidly emerging as a hub for administration and commerce. Its position offers convenient access to Hanoi's diplomatic quarter and Noi Bai International Airport, approximately 25 minutes away.

Design and guest experience

The property blends The Shilla's signature hospitality with local architectural inspiration, reinterpreting Vietnam's terraced rice fields in its design. This approach aims to create a sense of place for international and domestic travellers alike.

Shilla Monogram Hanoi Westlake will feature 319 rooms and suites, along with five distinct dining venues. Dining M offers international cuisine with live cooking stations, while Pastry M serves handcrafted pastries and beverages. JINJI specialises in premium Korean barbecue, and HASUNGO presents refined Chinese dishes. Bar M, perched on the 35th floor, provides signature cocktails with panoramic views of West Lake and the Hanoi skyline.

For the MICE segment, the hotel includes a 700-square-metre Grand Ballroom capable of accommodating up to 620 guests, supported by additional meeting spaces. Leisure facilities include an infinity pool and comprehensive wellness offerings.

General Manager Edouard Lallemand commented, "Bringing Shilla Monogram to Hanoi marks an important new chapter for the brand in Vietnam." He added that the team is committed to delivering memorable experiences for both business and leisure guests.

The opening aligns with broader trends in Vietnam's hospitality sector, which has seen increased interest from international brands. The country's growing economy and tourism appeal continue to attract investment, as seen in recent developments such as Vietjet's expanded MRO and technology partnership.

Shilla Monogram's expansion into Hanoi underscores The Shilla's strategy to grow its presence in key Asian markets. The brand's previous properties have established a reputation for combining local culture with upscale service, a formula that is expected to resonate in Vietnam's capital.

With its strategic location, extensive facilities, and diverse dining options, Shilla Monogram Hanoi Westlake is poised to become a significant player in Hanoi's upscale hospitality scene, catering to both corporate and leisure travellers seeking a refined experience.
