The TDM Travel Trade Excellence Awards 2026 – Thailand, presented by Travel Daily Media, brought together the country’s travel and tourism leaders to celebrate those driving meaningful progress in guest experience, operational efficiency, and market innovation. The ceremony, held on 14 October 2026 at the Conrad Bangkok, honored organizations that have adapted to shifting traveler expectations and a rapidly evolving competitive landscape.

Thailand’s travel sector continues to transform as visitors demand more personalized, seamless, and sustainable experiences. In response, businesses across aviation, hospitality, and travel technology have invested in new capabilities, from advanced revenue management systems to wellness-focused hotel concepts. This year’s awardees exemplify that commitment, with winners spanning international hotel groups, boutique properties, airlines, and technology providers.

Recognizing Excellence Across the Sector

The awards highlighted a broad spectrum of achievements. Thai Airways International took home three honors, including Business Class of the Year, Brand Initiative of the Year, and Guest Experience of the Year, underscoring the carrier’s focus on elevating the passenger journey. In the hospitality segment, AKARYN Hotel Group was named Hotel & Resort Management of the Year and Urban Hotel of the Year, while The St. Regis Bangkok earned Business Hotel of the Year and Maison Hotel Bangkok took Interior Design of the Year.

Other notable winners included Duetto for Revenue Management System of the Year, Hotelverse for Ancillary Revenue Platform of the Year, and VFS Global for Technology Innovation of the Year. The MICE segment saw Chiang Mai Marriott Hotel recognized as MICE Hotel of the Year, reflecting the growing importance of business events in Thailand’s tourism mix. The awards also celebrated innovation in sustainability and wellness. The Racha was named Sustainable Hotel of the Year, while Layan Life by Anantara took Active Wellness Hotel of the Year. Vio Travel earned both Destination Management Company of the Year and ESG Initiative of the Year, highlighting the growing emphasis on responsible travel operations.

Expert Judging and Industry Insight

Winners were selected by a panel of judges with deep expertise in hotel asset management, tourism strategy, and business transformation. The jury included Jon Cannon, Senior Vice President – Hotel Asset Management, Thailand and Vietnam at JLL; Eric Levy, Managing Director of Tourism Solutions International; and Kulit Kiartsritara, Principal at Roland Berger. Their evaluation focused not only on financial performance but also on how organizations understand and respond to traveler needs.

“The awards recognize those who are not just performing well but are actively shaping the future of travel in Thailand,” said a Travel Daily Media spokesperson. “From enhancing guest experiences to adopting new technologies, these leaders are setting benchmarks for the industry.”

The event also underscored the importance of talent development and leadership in sustaining growth. Beyond the awards, the ceremony served as a networking platform for travel professionals, fostering connections that could lead to future collaborations. The full list of winners reflects the diversity of Thailand’s travel ecosystem, from heritage properties like Thai Garden Resort Pattaya to modern extended-stay options like Staybridge Suites Bangkok Sukhumvit. The recognition of these organizations signals a healthy, forward-looking industry ready to meet the demands of tomorrow’s travelers.

As the travel trade continues to evolve, events like the TDM Travel Trade Excellence Awards provide a valuable platform to celebrate achievements and share best practices.
