Vietjet has launched a significant fare promotion targeting Filipino travellers, releasing 12 million discounted tickets across its domestic and international network. The sale includes the carrier’s Manila–Ho Chi Minh City route, a key link between the Philippines and Vietnam.

The promotion runs until 7 June 2026, with Eco-class fares starting from USD0 (excluding taxes and fees) for travel between 5 September 2026 and 31 March 2027. Tickets are available via the Vietjet website, mobile app, and authorised agents.

New Routes to Europe and Central Asia

Vietjet is expanding its long-haul network with two new routes from Hanoi: to Prague, Czech Republic, and to Almaty, Kazakhstan, both launching on 10 October 2026. These services offer Filipino passengers one-stop connections to Europe and Central Asia via Vietnam. Deluxe fares on these new routes are discounted by 15% with the promo code HELLOVIETNAM.

The Prague route strengthens Vietjet’s presence in Central Europe, while Almaty opens access to Kazakhstan’s commercial hub. This expansion aligns with broader trends in Asian carriers extending reach into underserved markets, similar to Air Astana’s recent Astana–Guangzhou addition.

Summer 2026 Sale and Premium Benefits

For peak-season travel, Vietjet’s Summer 2026 Sale offers 30% off Deluxe fares and 20% off SkyBoss and Business fares for travel between 1 June and 31 August 2026. Deluxe passengers receive up to 20 kg of checked baggage, priority seat selection, and free flight schedule changes. SkyBoss and Business cabins include additional perks such as lounge access and premium meals.

The airline is positioning these offers to capture both leisure and business demand. The Manila–Ho Chi Minh City route remains popular for its short flight time and competitive pricing, with Vietnam attracting Filipino tourists for its affordability and cultural attractions.

Vietjet’s network expansion also complements other regional developments, such as Qantas and Philippine Airlines’ expanded rewards network via Manila. As low-cost carriers grow their long-haul offerings, Vietjet’s move into Prague and Almaty could reshape connectivity for Southeast Asian travellers.

Industry observers note that Vietjet’s aggressive pricing and route growth reflect a strategy to capture market share from full-service carriers on both regional and intercontinental sectors. The airline’s focus on ancillary revenue, including baggage and seat selection, supports its low-base fare model.

For travel agents and corporate buyers, the sale provides an opportunity to offer clients competitive fares on a growing network. Vietjet’s partnership with global distribution systems ensures availability through standard booking channels.
