Agoda has launched a dedicated digital flagship store for Marina Bay Sands, marking the first time the online travel agency has created a custom storefront for a single property. The new storefront integrates the integrated resort's rooms, suites, and selected experiences, offering travelers a streamlined booking journey.

The Marina Bay Sands Flagship Store is tailored to Asia Pacific travelers, with support for multiple languages including Japanese and Korean. It leverages Agoda's Connected Ecosystem to boost visibility throughout the booking funnel, from homepage placements to branded search results.

Andrew Smith, Senior Vice President of Supply at Agoda, emphasized the collaboration's role in enriching travel planning. "Travellers often start with the experience they might have first seen on social media, whether that is a restaurant, a theatre show, or a cultural activity, and then look for the stay that brings the trip together," he said.

Experience-led travel on the rise

Agoda's 2026 Travel Outlook Report highlights a growing shift toward experience-led travel, with 31% of surveyed travelers planning trips around culinary experiences and 25% around cultural exploration. This aligns with the broader trend of personalized vacations, which now account for over a third of luxury travel spending.

The flagship store aims to foster customer loyalty and support revenue growth for Marina Bay Sands by providing a targeted presence from the early stages of travel discovery. Travelers can explore the new store on Agoda's platform, enhancing their planning with curated experiences.

This move reflects a broader industry push toward direct partnerships between OTAs and major hospitality assets. For travel professionals, it signals the growing importance of digital storefronts that cater to experience-driven demand, a trend also seen in Agoda's data on Asian travelers seeking Oktoberfest experiences beyond Munich.

Marina Bay Sands, a landmark integrated resort in Singapore, has been expanding its experiential offerings, and this partnership with Agoda is part of a strategy to capture high-intent travelers early in their planning. The resort's proximity to the Marina Bay Cruise Centre, which recently partnered with the National Arts Council to spotlight local talent, underscores the area's growing appeal as a travel hub.

For hoteliers and destination marketers, the Agoda-Marina Bay Sands collaboration offers a case study in how digital flagship stores can enhance brand visibility and drive direct bookings. It also highlights the value of localized content and multilingual support in capturing Asia Pacific travelers.

Agoda's continued investment in such partnerships is part of a broader trend of OTAs deepening ties with hospitality groups, as seen in Agoda's feedback-driven tech upgrades with Hoshino Resorts. These collaborations are reshaping how travel products are distributed and marketed.

As the travel industry evolves, the focus on experience-led travel is likely to intensify. Agoda's flagship store for Marina Bay Sands is a clear signal that OTAs are adapting to meet this demand, offering travelers a more integrated and personalized booking experience.
