Azamara Cruises is deepening its nearly two-decade partnership with OneSpaWorld to introduce a new tier of wellness at sea. As part of the line’s Azamara Forward fleet-wide enhancement program, THESANCTUM will expand to include medi-spa services, additional treatment suites, IV therapy, and a curated luxury retail space. These changes target discerning travelers who expect both results and refinement from their onboard experiences.

Medical-Grade Treatments at Sea

Starting with Azamara Pursuit on 18 August 2026 and rolling across the fleet, THESANCTUM will offer physician-led medi-spa procedures typically found in premium clinics. Treatments include Thermage® skin tightening, Restylane® dermal fillers, Dysport® wrinkle treatments, and microneedling. These options allow guests to maintain a polished appearance with minimal downtime while enjoying their voyage.

For luxury cruise lines, offering medical aesthetics at sea is a growing differentiator. Azamara joins a select group of operators—such as MSC Cruises, which recently rolled out a fleetwide spa overhaul with medical wellness and AI skin analysis—in bridging clinical efficacy with cruise leisure.

Expanded Treatment Rooms and Couples’ Retreats

Each upgraded spa will add two treatment rooms: one dedicated couples’ suite and one additional single treatment room. This expansion boosts capacity and caters to both shared rituals and private moments of restoration, a move that aligns with the growing demand for personalized wellness experiences in the cruise industry.

IV Therapy and Longevity Drips

IV therapy joins the menu, featuring targeted vitamin infusions and an NAD+ longevity drip. These offerings appeal to luxury travelers seeking rapid rehydration, recovery, jet-lag relief, and a wellness boost tailored to their travel rhythms. The inclusion of such treatments reflects a broader trend in travel wellness, where luxury membership programs are increasingly integrating health-focused partnerships.

Curated Retail at the Spa Entrance

A new retail area will showcase high-performance wellness and beauty brands, including ELEMIS® skincare, Kérastase® haircare, JOU® Chinese herbs for the acupuncture program, and Good Feet® products for posture and comfort. This allows guests to continue their curated regimens onshore, adding a seamless retail component to the spa experience.

Rollout Timeline and Guest Impact

Refits begin with Azamara Pursuit (18 August 2026) and Azamara Quest (25 November 2026), with further ship upgrades scheduled in 2027. Dry-dock timelines range from two to four weeks per vessel. For frequent luxury cruisers, the enhancements promise elevated onsite convenience—no need to seek advanced aesthetic or restorative treatments ashore.

Azamara’s spa evolution positions the line among a small group of cruise brands offering medical aesthetics at sea, marrying clinical efficacy with the privacy and leisure of a cruise vacation. For travelers who prioritize wellness, appearance, and seamless service, THESANCTUM’s expanded menu provides boutique-style treatments without disrupting the voyage.

By expanding THESANCTUM in partnership with OneSpaWorld, Azamara is delivering a compelling blend of clinical results, personalized care, and luxurious spa rituals—ideal for guests who want to return home refreshed, rejuvenated, and camera-ready. These enhancements reinforce Azamara’s commitment to thoughtful, elevated experiences as part of the Azamara Forward transformation.

For travel professionals, this development signals a strategic move to capture the high-end wellness traveler, a segment that continues to grow across the cruise and hospitality sectors. As Oceania Cruises and other lines expand their specialty offerings, Azamara’s focus on onboard medical aesthetics could set a new benchmark for luxury cruising.
