Dnyaan Prasad Global University (DPGU), through its School for Hospitality and Tourism, has formalized a five-year Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Singapore's Nanyang Institute of Management. The agreement, announced by Dr. Pradyuman Rathore, Director of the school, aims to deepen academic ties between India and Singapore in the hospitality and tourism sectors.

The partnership covers student and faculty exchange programmes, collaborative research projects, and the sharing of academic resources. Both institutions will work to broaden students' perspectives by exposing them to different educational systems and cultural contexts. β€œAt Dnyaan Prasad Global University, we believe that education should prepare students for a truly global future,” said Hon. Dr. Somnath P. Patil, Pro-Chancellor of DPGU.

Strategic International Collaboration

This MoU is part of DPGU's broader strategy to provide students with international exposure, which is increasingly critical for success in the global hospitality and tourism industry. Dr. Rohini S. Patil, Chief Operating Officer of DPGU, emphasized the importance of such partnerships in delivering world-class education and enriching the academic experience through global exposure.

Mr. Khoo Raymond, Vice President of Nanyang Institute of Management, expressed enthusiasm for the collaboration, highlighting its potential to nurture globally competent graduates. The agreement allows both institutions to develop and implement joint initiatives over the initial five-year term.

This partnership adds to DPGU's growing list of international collaborations, which aim to produce graduates ready to work globally, equipped with practical knowledge and cross-cultural competencies. For travel industry professionals, such educational partnerships signal a pipeline of talent better prepared for the demands of international hospitality, from hotel management to tourism operations.

As the hospitality sector increasingly values cross-border experience, initiatives like this MoU align with trends seen in other parts of the industry. For instance, Radisson Hotel Group's expansion in India and China underscores the need for a workforce with international perspectives. Similarly, Accor's focus on strategic partnerships and loyalty highlights how global collaboration is reshaping hospitality education and operations.

The MoU between DPGU and Nanyang Institute of Management is a concrete step toward bridging educational systems, ensuring that future hospitality leaders are equipped to navigate diverse markets. For travel professionals, this means a more skilled and adaptable talent pool entering the industry.
