Elegant Hotel Collection has officially rebranded as Elegant Hotels of the World, a strategic move designed to expand its global luxury soft brand and meet rising demand for authentic, independent hotel experiences. The transition, announced on 23 June 2026, is powered by HotelREZ Hotels & Resorts and signals a new phase of growth with enhanced commercial discipline.

New Brand Identity and Digital Platform

Anna Payne, Vice President of Global Brands at HotelREZ Group, said: “Elegant Hotels of the World reflects the progression of a pioneering soft brand that is expanding its value proposition to offer independent hotels the global platform and commercial strength required to compete more effectively.” The brand has launched new digital platforms designed to improve how hotels are discovered and booked, boosting visibility and demand generation for member properties.

The rebranded collection now includes an expanded portfolio, with notable additions across the UK and Asia Pacific. New members include The Lakes by YOO in the Cotswolds, Foxhills in Surrey, and TreeHouse Villas Koh Yao in Thailand. These properties reflect the brand’s focus on individuality and connection to place, which Catt McLeod, Vice President of Elegant Hotels of the World, emphasised: “Luxury today is far more personal than ever. Travellers are increasingly drawn to hotels that offer a strong sense of individuality and connection to place.”

The brand aims to deliver measurable commercial performance, with profitability as a cornerstone of sustainable luxury. Future growth will be supported by a global demand ecosystem and the introduction of Masterpiece by Elegant Hotels of the World, a curated tier of five-star properties. This initiative is part of a broader brand portfolio that includes Best Loved Hotels and WithSoul Hotels, enhancing the global reach and profitability of independent hotels.

For travel professionals, this rebranding underscores the growing importance of soft brands in the luxury segment. As hoteliers and agents seek to differentiate their offerings, Elegant Hotels of the World provides a platform that combines global distribution with local authenticity. The addition of properties in the UK and Asia Pacific also signals the brand’s ambition to compete with established soft brands like Capella Hotel Group and others that are driving global expansion.

The Masterpiece tier, in particular, targets high-end independent hotels that want to leverage a global network without sacrificing their unique identity. This approach aligns with broader industry trends where luxury travellers increasingly seek emotional value over standardised experiences.

HotelREZ’s support provides Elegant Hotels of the World with access to a global distribution system (GDS) connectivity, central reservation services, and revenue management tools. This infrastructure is critical for independent hotels that lack the scale of major chains but want to compete for corporate and leisure bookings from agents and tour operators worldwide.

The rebranding also reflects a broader shift in the luxury hospitality landscape, where soft brands are gaining traction as a middle ground between full-service chains and completely independent properties. By offering a cohesive brand identity while preserving each hotel’s individuality, Elegant Hotels of the World positions itself to capture a share of the growing demand for authentic travel experiences.

As the brand continues to expand, it will likely attract more properties from regions such as Europe, the Middle East, and the Americas. The focus on profitability and commercial performance will be key to sustaining growth in a competitive market where luxury travellers have high expectations for both service and value.
