DAMAC Properties, the UAE's largest private real estate developer, is set to unveil the sixth and final tower of Chelsea Residences by DAMAC in Dubai, marking the last opportunity for Japanese investors to acquire a unit in the world's first football-branded residential project. The launch event will take place at the Grand Ballroom of the Mandarin Oriental on 17 July, following the complete sellout of the first five towers.
Branded Residences and Football Appeal
Developed in collaboration with Chelsea Football Club, Chelsea Residences by DAMAC has drawn strong interest from both investors and end-users, driven by its waterfront location and the cachet of a branded residence tied to a global sports icon. The final tower offers a limited selection of one-, two-, and three-bedroom flats, all with sea views, starting at $697,073 (JPY 1,129 million). Amira Sajwani, Managing Director of DAMAC Properties, emphasized the project's unique positioning: "Chelsea Residences by DAMAC brings together an iconic global football brand, a prime waterfront setting, and DAMAC's signature approach to luxury living."
Dubai currently leads the global branded residences market, with transaction volumes up 26% year-on-year and value increasing 51%. Chelsea Residences stands out with its football-themed amenities, including the UAE's only rooftop football pitch, a beach club, and an Athlete Training Centre. Residents will enjoy unobstructed views of the sea and Dubai skyline.
DAMAC has delivered over 50,000 homes and plans to deliver another 8,800 in 2026, reinforcing its commitment to creating lifestyle-driven communities. This final tower represents a rare entry point for Japanese investors seeking exposure to Dubai's luxury real estate market, which has seen sustained growth amid global demand for branded residences.
For travel professionals, the project underscores the convergence of sports branding and hospitality-driven real estate, a trend that is reshaping luxury accommodation options in key destinations. Similar developments, such as Aman New York's addition of four residences in the Crown Building and Aman Singapore's Skywaters Residences, highlight the growing appetite for branded living spaces among high-net-worth travelers and investors.
As the branded residences market expands across Asia, with projects like those in Bangkok and Singapore, the Chelsea Residences launch offers a case study in how sports partnerships can drive unique value propositions. The final tower's limited inventory and exclusive amenities position it as a premium offering for discerning buyers.
