Regional carrier FLY91 has expanded its network with the addition of Tirupati, its 13th destination, strengthening its presence in southern India. The airline will operate daily flights between Tirupati and Hyderabad, with onward connections to Vijayawada and Rajahmundry, serving both pilgrims and business travelers.
Tirupati, home to the renowned Sri Venkateswara Swamy Temple, attracts millions of devotees each month and is also a growing educational and commercial hub. The new routes aim to improve access to these key regional centers, aligning with FLY91's mission of 'Connecting Bharat' through reliable air services.
Manoj Chacko, Managing Director and CEO of FLY91, said, "The addition of Tirupati marks another important milestone in the steady expansion of our regional network and reinforces our commitment to Andhra Pradesh, where we now serve three destinations."
Route schedule and connectivity
FLY91 will operate daily flights between Tirupati and Hyderabad. Services to Vijayawada will run on Tuesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays, and Sundays, while Rajahmundry will be served on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. This schedule is designed to cater to the travel patterns of pilgrims, tourists, and business passengers.
The airline's network now spans Goa, Sindhudurg, Jalgaon, Solapur, Pune, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Agatti in the Lakshadweep Islands, Kochi, Hubballi, Rajahmundry, Vijayawada, and Tirupati. Bookings for the new routes are available on the airline's website and through its travel agency partners.
FLY91's expansion comes as regional air travel in India continues to grow, driven by government initiatives like UDAN and increasing demand for point-to-point connectivity. The airline's focus on underserved routes positions it well to capture this demand.
Industry analysts note that the addition of Tirupati is a strategic move, given the city's high passenger traffic from religious tourism. The daily Hyderabad-Tirupati service is expected to be particularly popular, offering convenient connections for both leisure and business travelers.
FLY91's commitment to Andhra Pradesh is evident in its growing presence there. With three destinations now served, the airline is becoming a key player in the region's air connectivity, complementing the services of larger carriers.
For travel agents and tour operators, the new routes offer opportunities to package Tirupati as a standalone destination or as part of a broader southern India itinerary. The airline's partnership with travel agencies ensures that these new services are easily bookable.
As FLY91 continues to expand, it is likely to add more destinations in the coming months. The airline's strategy of focusing on tier-2 and tier-3 cities aligns with the broader industry trend of decentralizing air travel in India.
With the addition of Tirupati, FLY91 reinforces its position as a reliable regional carrier, committed to connecting India's heartland. The airline's growth is a positive sign for the regional aviation sector, which is poised for further expansion.
