Four Seasons Hotel Singapore is repositioning its luxury offer around two fast-growing segments: multi-generational family travel and wellness-driven corporate groups. In an interview with Travelmao, regional vice president Peter Draminsky outlined how the property is blending residential comfort with bespoke service, and how it is leveraging active-lifestyle amenities to add commercial value to group bookings.
A residential answer to multi-gen demand
The hotel's new 3-Bedroom Premier Suite is designed to let extended families stay together while preserving each generation's privacy. The three bedrooms can be enclosed within a private corridor, creating a dedicated residential enclave inside the hotel. "From pre-arrival planning to tailored dining, cultural, spa and wellness experiences, we personalise the stay around the different needs and interests of each family member," Draminsky said. The approach reflects a broader industry shift toward flexible, apartment-style accommodations for multi-generational travel, a trend also visible in recent multi-destination itineraries from China.
Active amenities as a group booking driver
Corporate groups are increasingly booking racquet courts and post-workout recovery facilities, and Four Seasons Singapore is capitalising on that. The property offers outdoor padel, pickleball and tennis courts, a Chi Longevity Clinic with SPARKD mind-body workouts, and direct access to the Singapore Botanic Gardens, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Since 1993, the hotel has also organised Run for Hope with the National Cancer Centre Singapore, an annual community event supporting cancer research.
"These experiences help take the corporate gathering beyond the meeting room," Draminsky said. "When we bring racquet sports, fitness and recovery into a group programme, we give teams meaningful ways to recharge, connect and perform their best." That strategy is paying off as sports tourism continues to grow globally.
Balancing buy-outs and daily dining
Tech and finance clients are increasingly moving meetings out of traditional boardrooms and into signature outlets like Nobu, Jiang Nan Chun and One-Ninety Restaurant. Draminsky says the key is disciplined planning. "We weigh the value of the event against the restaurant's demand, seasonality, and the guests we expect to welcome that day," he explained. "Planning is done well in advance to protect our busiest dining periods." This approach ensures that custom buy-outs enhance revenue without eroding the experience for regular diners.
Sustainable, wellness-led dining
At the Level 3 Poolhouse, demand for nutritionist-backed, plant-based menus is rising. Four Seasons Singapore works with local suppliers to prioritise seasonal, responsibly sourced produce, and designs menus around what is freshest. "Sustainability is not simply about sourcing, it's about creating thoughtful, nutritious experiences that are both commercially sustainable and meaningful," Draminsky said. This aligns with broader trends in luxury hotel dining.
Multi-destination journeys across Southeast Asia
Draminsky oversees properties in Singapore, Kuala Lumpur, Langkawi and The Nam Hai in Vietnam. He sees guests increasingly combining city energy with beach and wellness escapes in a single trip. "Singapore and Kuala Lumpur offer energy and discovery, while Langkawi and The Nam Hai provide deeper opportunities for rest, rejuvenation and wellbeing," he said. The hotel group is creating seamless multi-destination itineraries that connect personalised cultural, dining and wellness experiences across properties.
Training for bespoke events
To maintain Four Seasons' luxury standards during highly customised events, the hotel is investing in cross-functional training and staff empowerment. "Through cross-functional training, stronger pre-event collaboration and staff empowerment, we enable our teams to anticipate each client's needs and respond with confidence," Draminsky said. The guiding principle remains the Golden Rule: treat others as we would wish to be treated.
With Singapore's passport ranking and its position as a regional hub, Four Seasons Singapore is well placed to capture demand from both leisure and corporate travellers seeking more meaningful, personalised experiences.
