Garrya Mù Cang Chải, a resort in northern Vietnam operated by Banyan Group, has introduced what it calls the country's first All-Wellness Inclusive Package. The offering targets travel professionals seeking to package evidence-based wellness with adventure in a remote, culturally rich setting.
Located in the terraced rice fields of Mù Cang Chải—a National Heritage Site—the resort's programme is built around Banyan Group's eight pillars of holistic wellbeing: Rest, Nourishment, Movement, Connection, Growth, Groundedness, Practice, and Mindfulness. Guests begin with a personalised Digital Wellbeing Assessment that informs tailored nutrition and recovery plans. Advanced recovery technologies, including HRV biofeedback and hydrotherapy, are also part of the package.
Wellness Meets Adventure
Complementing the wellness package, Garrya Mù Cang Chải offers three complimentary signature trekking experiences: the Nam Kim Stream Trek, Mam Xoi Hill Trek, and Mini Mam Xoi Trek. Each trek varies in difficulty and immersion into the local landscape and Hmong culture. “Our trekking experiences are designed not simply to showcase the beauty of Mù Cang Chải, but to encourage a slower, more mindful way of exploring its landscapes,” said Thinh Phan, General Manager of Garrya Mù Cang Chải.
The resort is also positioning itself as a hub for active travel. In October 2026, it will host the Mù Cang Chải Ultra Trail, a race that integrates wellness with endurance adventure. This event is expected to attract international participants and further cement the destination's appeal for tour operators and travel agents specialising in wellness and adventure tourism.
Vietnam's wellness tourism sector is growing, and this package aligns with broader trends seen across Asia. For example, Thailand has been pushing wellness as a key draw for Middle Eastern travellers, while the Wellness Tourism Association recently introduced global standards for retreats. Garrya Mù Cang Chải's approach offers a model for how remote properties can differentiate themselves through structured, science-backed wellness programmes.
The package is available for booking through the resort's direct channels and is expected to appeal to luxury travel advisors and MICE planners looking for unique retreat options. With its combination of personalised health assessments, recovery technology, and curated treks, Garrya Mù Cang Chải aims to redefine mountain wellness in Vietnam.
