Goa is set for a strong international charter season from October 2026 through April 2027, with confirmed flights from the United Kingdom, Russia, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, and Poland. The state is also in talks to add charter services from Belarus, Armenia, Moldova, and Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan, as part of a broader push to diversify its inbound tourism base.

Operator commitments and flight frequencies

Concord Exotic Voyages, a major charter operator in the region, expects to bring more than 45,000 international tourists from the CIS countries during the 2026–27 season. The company plans to run six charter flights per week from Russia, with the possibility of increasing to nine, and two weekly flights from Kazakhstan. Meanwhile, TUI will operate four weekly charter flights from the UK, carrying approximately 1,200 visitors each week. Sita Travels and Thomas Cook India have also confirmed charter operations, projecting a 10% increase in tourist arrivals compared to the previous season.

Tourism Minister Rohan A. Khaunte highlighted the growing global confidence in Goa as a year-round destination. “The emergence of new source markets presents significant opportunities to expand Goa’s global tourism footprint,” he said. The state is focusing on diversifying its offerings beyond beaches to include heritage, wellness, and adventure experiences.

Director of Tourism Kedar Naik noted the importance of international charter tourism to Goa's economy, with visitors typically staying for 10 to 14 nights. The upcoming season is expected to bolster Goa’s status as a preferred international holiday destination, benefiting local businesses and communities.

For travel professionals, this season signals increased demand for accommodation, ground transport, and curated experiences. Hoteliers and tour operators in Goa should prepare for higher occupancy rates and longer guest stays. The state's push into new source markets also opens opportunities for partnerships with airlines and charter brokers, similar to how Chapman Freeborn refines charter logistics for specialized groups.

Goa's strategy to attract visitors from Central Asia and Eastern Europe mirrors broader trends in destination diversification. The state is also investing in infrastructure and marketing to support year-round tourism, moving beyond the traditional winter peak. As the season approaches, travel agents and tour operators should monitor flight schedules and capacity to align their offerings.
