Hyatt Hotels Corporation has introduced the World of Hyatt Brand Explorer Award across the Asia Pacific region, a loyalty initiative designed to encourage guests to sample the breadth of its portfolio. The programme rewards members with a free night at a Category 1–4 hotel for every five distinct Hyatt brands they stay at, with no cap on the number of awards earned over the lifetime of their membership.

Tammy Ng, Vice President of Brand & Marketing for Hyatt Asia Pacific, said: “The Brand Explorer Award is unique to the World of Hyatt programme and is designed to reward guests as they discover the breadth of experiences across our brands.” The initiative targets both leisure and business travellers, as well as those celebrating special occasions, by incentivising stays across Hyatt’s 36 global brands — 17 of which are currently represented in Asia Pacific.

Portfolio depth and regional reach

Hyatt’s Asia Pacific footprint includes luxury flagships such as Park Hyatt and Alila, lifestyle brands like Andaz and Thompson Hotels, and classic full-service properties under Grand Hyatt and Hyatt Regency. Each brand offers a distinct guest experience, from cultural immersion at Alila resorts to contemporary comfort at Thompson Hotels. The award is intended to nudge members toward trying brands they may not have previously considered, thereby deepening engagement with the loyalty programme.

Alongside the award, Hyatt has launched a Brand Explorer Campaign that runs until 17 August 2026. During this period, World of Hyatt members can book club and suite rooms at up to 20% off and standard rooms at up to 15% off across participating Hyatt hotels in Asia Pacific. Destinations highlighted in the campaign include Hong Kong, Korea, Japan, and Australia.

The move comes as Hyatt continues to expand its loyalty programme, which now counts approximately 58 million members worldwide. The Brand Explorer Award mirrors similar multi-brand incentives offered by competitors such as Marriott Bonvoy and Hilton Honors, but Hyatt’s version is notable for its lifetime validity — a differentiator that may appeal to frequent travellers who value long-term rewards.

For travel professionals — hoteliers, tour operators, and travel agents — the initiative presents an opportunity to cross-sell Hyatt’s diverse brand portfolio. Agents can use the award to encourage clients to book stays across multiple Hyatt brands during a single trip or over successive journeys, potentially increasing commissionable bookings. The campaign also aligns with broader industry trends toward experiential travel, where guests seek variety and local authenticity rather than repeat stays at the same property.

In related loyalty developments, Travelzoo recently launched an exclusive all-inclusive Kimpton Riviera Maya package for US members, highlighting how hotel groups and third-party platforms are competing for loyalty spend. Meanwhile, Hilton debuted its Spark brand in India with two hotels and a target of 150 properties, underscoring the race among global hoteliers to capture market share in high-growth regions.

Hyatt’s Brand Explorer Award is available immediately to all World of Hyatt members. No registration is required; stays are tracked automatically, and the free night certificate is issued after the fifth unique brand stay. The certificate can be redeemed at any Category 1–4 Hyatt hotel worldwide, subject to standard terms and conditions.
