Jet2Villas is significantly expanding its villa portfolio ahead of Summer 26, adding more than 1,000 new properties to bring its total inventory to over 4,000 villas. The move comes as the company reports record demand for villa holidays, with bookings for the upcoming summer season already surpassing previous highs.

The new properties are sourced through an expanded collaboration with SPL Villas, a specialist in the villa sector. This partnership allows Jet2Villas to offer a broader selection across 52 destinations, giving both direct customers and independent travel agents more options when booking villa-based package holidays.

Galicia joins the programme

For the first time, Galicia in northern Spain has been added to the Jet2Villas programme. Known for its lush green landscapes and celebrated seafood, the region offers a distinct alternative to the more traditional Spanish villa hotspots. Existing favourites such as Lanzarote, Menorca, and Faro continue to lead in customer demand, but Galicia is expected to attract travellers seeking a less crowded, culturally rich experience.

David Hills, Chief Customer Officer of Jet2, highlighted the growth in villa holidays: "We're seeing strong demand for villa holidays, so we're delighted to have added more than 1,000 new properties to Jet2Villas, taking our collection to over 4,000 villas and giving customers even more choice."

The expansion is part of a broader strategy to capitalise on the shift towards villa accommodation, which offers more space and privacy compared to traditional hotel stays. For travel agents, the enlarged portfolio means more flexibility in matching clients with the right property, whether for family reunions, group getaways, or longer stays.

Jet2Villas has also been recognised as a Which? Recommended Provider for the fourth consecutive year, a testament to its consistent service quality and customer satisfaction. The company intends to keep growing its villa offering in response to sustained demand, while maintaining the package holiday benefits that include financial protection and peace of mind.

For travel professionals, the expansion signals Jet2's continued investment in the villa segment, which is becoming an increasingly important revenue stream for tour operators. With more than 1,000 new properties added in a single season, Jet2Villas is positioning itself as a major player in the European villa market.

Agents looking to capitalise on this trend can access the full range of new properties through the Jet2Villas platform, which integrates with the company's flight network. The addition of Galicia also opens up new possibilities for selling less-travelled regions of Spain, potentially appealing to repeat visitors seeking fresh experiences.

As the summer 2026 season approaches, Jet2Villas is expected to continue its expansion, with further destination and property announcements likely. The company's focus on villa holidays reflects a broader industry movement towards accommodation that offers more space and flexibility, a trend that has been gaining momentum since the pandemic.
