Hilton has expanded its luxury portfolio in South Asia with the opening of The Den Bengaluru, the first LXR Hotels & Resorts property in India. The hotel, located in the tech-centric Whitefield district, positions itself as a base for both business and leisure travelers seeking a distinctly local luxury experience.

The Den Bengaluru offers 226 rooms and suites, four dining venues, and extensive event spaces. Among its standout features are two signature programs: The Pause Programme, which focuses on calming rituals and curated sleep amenities, and Whitefield Unscripted, which encourages guests to explore the neighborhood through curated experiences such as the Whitefield Verandah Trail.

Strategic entry into India's luxury market

Zubin Saxena, Hilton's senior vice president and regional head for South Asia, emphasized the importance of the Indian market for Hilton's luxury growth. "Bengaluru is a natural market for this next phase of growth as it is globally connected, culturally dynamic, and home to a diverse community of travelers," he said.

The hotel also includes wellness amenities such as The Sanctuary spa and The Studio fitness center, alongside recreational spaces like The Playhouse and The Cave. Dining options range from the rooftop restaurant Layla to The Creek, an all-day dining venue.

Candice D'Cruz, vice president of Hilton Luxury Brands, Asia Pacific, noted, "The Den Bengaluru marks an important new chapter for LXR, bringing that global perspective to India whilst giving the collection a compelling new expression of Bengaluru and Whitefield."

The property is part of the Hilton Honors program, offering members exclusive benefits and digital tools for a seamless stay. This debut follows other recent luxury openings in the region, such as IHCL's wilderness retreat in Ranthambore, signaling a competitive landscape for upscale hospitality in India.

For travel advisors and corporate buyers, The Den Bengaluru adds a new option in a key Indian business hub, with event spaces and a location near major tech parks. The hotel's emphasis on local experiences aligns with a broader trend in luxury travel, where travelers increasingly seek authentic connections to destinations.

As LXR expands its footprint in Asia Pacific, the brand's entry into India could pave the way for further properties in other major cities. Hilton's strategy in the region has been to partner with owners and developers to bring its luxury brands to high-growth markets.

The Den Bengaluru is now open and accepting reservations, with introductory rates available for early bookings.
