MakeMyTrip has introduced OneCircle, a global loyalty program tailored for Indian travelers, integrating 13,376 accommodation properties across 1,002 cities worldwide. Announced on 7 July 2026, the program guarantees a minimum of 10% back in reward points on every booking, redeemable on future stays within the network.
The program's reach spans 868 cities in India with over 12,330 properties, and extends internationally to 1,046 properties in 39 countries. Destinations are selected based on popular outbound Indian travel spots, with properties vetted by consumer ratings and MakeMyTrip's supply team.
Focus on Non-Metro Markets
OneCircle features a diverse range of accommodation options, from luxury hotels to budget homestays, catering to various traveler preferences and budgets. Notably, three-quarters of participating properties are located in Tier 2 and Tier 3 cities. Gurugram, Bengaluru, and Jaipur lead in property count, while Maharashtra, Rajasthan, and Kerala dominate by state presence.
Rajesh Magow, Executive Director and Group CEO of MakeMyTrip, stated, “OneCircle is built on a simple idea: every trip should be more rewarding for the traveller, and every accommodation partner should have a way to turn that into lasting business.”
Since its phased introduction, OneCircle has gained positive traction among travelers, promising to enhance the travel experience by offering real value and fostering relationships between guests and accommodation partners. This initiative aligns with broader industry trends in loyalty programs, such as Atlas Ocean Voyages Inner Circle Rewards Loyal Guests for Referrals and I Prefer Hotel Rewards Reveals 2026 Members’ Choice Award Winners Across Four Regions.
For travel professionals, OneCircle represents a significant opportunity to tap into the Indian outbound market, which continues to grow. The program's emphasis on non-metro cities could help hoteliers and tour operators expand their reach beyond traditional urban centers. Additionally, the integration of reward points across a wide network may encourage repeat bookings and customer loyalty.
MakeMyTrip's move also highlights the increasing importance of loyalty programs in the travel industry, as seen with other recent launches like Hyatt's Brand Explorer Award Rewards Multi-Brand Stays Across Asia Pacific. As competition intensifies, such programs can differentiate brands and drive customer retention.
Industry analysts will be watching how OneCircle performs against established programs from global hotel chains and online travel agencies. The program's success could influence other players in the Indian market to enhance their loyalty offerings.
