NagaCorp Ltd, the parent company of Phnom Penh's integrated resort NagaWorld, has announced that its subsidiary has been certified as a Great Place To Work for 2026. The certification, based on employee feedback, reflects a Trust Index score of 97%, up from 95% in the previous year and significantly above the industry average of 65%.
The accolade underscores NagaWorld's commitment to building a workplace culture rooted in trust, respect, and engagement—a critical differentiator in the competitive hospitality sector where staff satisfaction directly influences guest experience and operational performance.
CARES values drive culture
NagaWorld attributes its success to its CARES values—Collaboration, Accountability, Respect, Excellence, and Sustainability—which form the foundation of its inclusive workplace. These principles are not just slogans; they are embedded in daily operations and long-term strategy.
“Ours is a workplace culture that each of you has helped build, centred around trust and respect, not just performance targets,” said Chen Yiy Fon, CEO and Executive Director of NagaCorp. His remarks highlight a leadership philosophy that prioritizes employee well-being as a driver of business success.
The company's investment in learning, career development, and leadership opportunities has been instrumental in maintaining high engagement levels. NagaWorld actively measures employee feedback and acts on it, reinforcing its status as an employer of choice in the region.
ESG and sustainability leadership
Beyond workplace culture, NagaWorld's inclusion in the FTSE4Good Index Series reflects its enhanced environmental, social, and governance (ESG) practices. The company has launched several environmental initiatives, including “An Ocean of Plastic” and the “Green Cambodia Tree Planting Programme,” which have engaged 79 schools and collected five tonnes of plastic for recycling.
Diversity is another pillar of NagaWorld's approach: women represent 49.9% of its workforce and hold 33% of managerial roles. This commitment to inclusivity is part of a broader strategy to deliver sustainable value for all stakeholders.
The certification places NagaWorld alongside other hospitality leaders that have earned Great Place To Work recognition, such as Sands China's recent certification in Greater China. It also aligns with a growing trend of travel companies pursuing independent workplace accreditations to attract top talent.
As NagaCorp continues to integrate sustainability and responsible business practices into its long-term strategy, the company aims to set a benchmark for the industry. The 97% Trust Index score is a testament to the effectiveness of its people-first approach, which is increasingly seen as a competitive advantage in the global travel and hospitality market.
