Pan Pacific Singapore, a flagship property of Pan Pacific Hotels Group, has announced the promotion of two senior leaders within its commercial team, reinforcing its commitment to the meetings, incentives, conferences and exhibitions (MICE) segment. Edwin Koh has been elevated to Director of Events, while Vivien Lee has been appointed Director of Sales, MICE. Both appointments are effective immediately and are part of the hotel's broader strategy to solidify its reputation as a premier destination for high-profile events in Marina Bay.

Edwin Koh: Two Decades of Events Expertise

Koh, who has spent nearly 20 years in the events and hospitality sector, will now oversee a team of 15 professionals. His responsibilities include strategic sales planning, revenue management and operational oversight for complex events. In his previous roles at Pan Pacific Singapore, Koh demonstrated a strong track record in delivering large-scale corporate functions and social events, often coordinating with multiple stakeholders to ensure seamless execution. His promotion reflects the hotel's focus on elevating the client experience through meticulous planning and execution.

“Edwin’s deep understanding of the events landscape and his ability to lead cross-functional teams make him an invaluable asset,” said a hotel spokesperson. “His leadership will ensure that Pan Pacific Singapore continues to set benchmarks in the MICE sector.”

Vivien Lee: Driving MICE Growth

Vivien Lee, who joined Pan Pacific Singapore in 2024, has been promoted to Director of Sales, MICE after a rapid ascent within the organization. With over 15 years of experience in hospitality sales, Lee has a proven record in MICE business development and strategic account management. Her new role involves expanding the hotel's MICE portfolio and strengthening relationships with corporate clients, event planners and industry partners.

Lee’s appointment comes at a time when the Asia Pacific MICE market is rebounding strongly, with destinations like Singapore seeing increased demand for high-end meetings and conferences. The hotel’s location in Marina Bay, combined with its 25 meeting and event spaces, positions it well to capture this growth. Lee will focus on attracting both regional and international events, leveraging her network and expertise in the luxury segment.

Facilities and Sustainability Credentials

Pan Pacific Singapore offers a comprehensive range of facilities designed for MICE events, including ballrooms, breakout rooms and outdoor spaces. The property holds GSTC (Global Sustainable Tourism Council) and ISO14001 certifications, underscoring its commitment to sustainable operations. This aligns with growing demand from corporate clients for eco-friendly event venues.

The hotel’s strategy mirrors broader trends in the hospitality industry, where sustainability and personalized service are becoming key differentiators. For context, other Singapore properties like Carlton Hotel Singapore have also recently upgraded their MICE facilities, highlighting the competitive landscape in the city-state.

Industry Context

The MICE sector in Asia Pacific is experiencing a resurgence, with events like ILTM Asia Pacific 2026 setting new records for attendance and meetings. Pan Pacific Singapore’s leadership changes are timely, as the hotel seeks to capture a larger share of this growing market. The appointments also reflect a broader trend of hotels investing in specialized talent to cater to the complex needs of MICE clients.

As the travel industry continues to evolve, properties that combine strategic leadership with sustainable practices are likely to thrive. Pan Pacific Singapore’s moves signal a clear intent to remain at the forefront of the MICE segment in one of Asia’s most dynamic business hubs.
