Regent Seven Seas Cruises is expanding its ultra-luxury portfolio with 56 new shore excursions and five holiday market land programmes designed for the 2026 festive season. The offerings mark the line’s first winter Mediterranean season, sailing aboard the Seven Seas Navigator and the maiden voyage of the Seven Seas Prestige.

The excursions immerse guests in regional Christmas traditions across France, Malta, Spain, and Greece. Activities include guided walks through festively decorated streets, tastings of local holiday treats, and visits to artisan markets. Several excursions are included in the all-inclusive fare, while Regent Choice options start at $119 per guest.

Land programmes extend the festive experience

For travellers seeking deeper cultural immersion, five new pre- and post-cruise land programmes are available exclusively on Seven Seas Navigator itineraries. These packages explore Christmas markets in Barcelona, Rome, and Tuscany, with pricing from $2,399 per guest. The programmes are designed to complement the cruise experience and offer extended stays in key Mediterranean cities.

Wesley D’Silva, president of Regent Seven Seas Cruises, said: “The passion and traditions of the Mediterranean are in full force during the Christmas season, and these elevated tours have been designed to entice and excite discerning travellers.”

Onboard, the line will feature its signature holiday décor, including Christmas trees, floral arrangements, and gingerbread villages. Curated menus and holiday-themed performances will round out the festive atmosphere. The combination of shore excursions and onboard programming aims to deliver a comprehensive holiday experience for ultra-luxury guests.

The move comes as cruise lines increasingly target the winter Mediterranean market, traditionally dominated by summer sailings. Regent’s decision to deploy two ships in the region during the festive season signals confidence in year-round demand for luxury cruising in southern Europe. The Seven Seas Prestige, a newbuild, will make its debut on these itineraries, adding capacity and modern amenities to the fleet.

Travel professionals should note that the excursions and land programmes are now open for booking. Agents can leverage the festive angle to attract clients seeking a unique holiday experience, particularly those interested in cultural immersion and all-inclusive luxury. The pricing structure, with included excursions and optional upgrades, provides flexibility for different client budgets.

Regent’s festive programme underscores a broader trend of luxury lines investing in seasonal, destination-focused experiences. As the Mediterranean winter market matures, operators like Regent are positioning themselves to capture high-end travellers seeking both onboard comfort and authentic local encounters.
