Renaissance Hotels, part of Marriott Bonvoy's portfolio, is set to introduce a fresh wave of culturally rooted beverage experiences across Asia Pacific (excluding China) under its Evenings at Renaissance programme. The new collection, developed in partnership with award-winning Indonesian bartender Demitria "Demi" Dana Paramita, will debut on Renaissance Day of Discovery 2026 and run throughout October and November, offering guests a taste of local neighbourhoods through inventive cocktails and rituals.

Signature drinks and local storytelling

The lineup includes three signature creations: Blooming Flower, an interactive floral punch; The Night Market, blending pandan, calamansi, and tamarind; and Silk Road, a fusion of tea, saffron, and spice. Each drink is designed to capture the essence of its destination, giving travellers a deeper connection to the places they visit.

"The evolution of Evenings at Renaissance brings neighbourhood stories to life through the flavours and traditions that shape each destination," said Cristiano Rinaldi, Chief Lodging Product & Services Officer for Asia Pacific excluding China at Marriott International. "We are excited to collaborate with Demi to craft experiences that resonate with both local and international guests."

Participating properties and events

The programme will be rolled out at several Renaissance properties, including Renaissance Bali Uluwatu Resort & Spa, Renaissance Kuala Lumpur Hotel & Convention Centre, Renaissance Danang Hoi An Resort & Spa, and Renaissance Goa Baga-Arpora Hotel. Each location will host unique events, such as workshops with local artisans and live performances, to further immerse guests in the local culture.

This initiative not only enhances the guest experience but also supports local communities by showcasing their unique cultural elements. The ongoing Evenings at Renaissance experience will continue to offer these beverage rituals, ensuring guests can enjoy these cultural connections beyond the initial launch.

For travel professionals, this move underscores a broader trend in hospitality: using local partnerships and authentic programming to differentiate properties in a competitive market. As other hotel brands in the region also lean into cultural events, Renaissance's focus on beverage rituals could set a new benchmark for guest engagement.

Renaissance's approach aligns with Marriott's broader strategy to deepen guest loyalty through experiential offerings. The collaboration with Paramita, known for her innovative use of local ingredients, is expected to resonate with travellers seeking authentic, memorable experiences.

For agents and tour operators, the new beverage rituals offer a fresh selling point for packages that include Renaissance properties in Asia Pacific. The programme's timing—October and November—coincides with peak travel seasons in many of these destinations, making it a timely addition to the guest experience.

As the hospitality industry continues to recover and evolve, initiatives like this highlight the importance of local culture in driving guest satisfaction and repeat visits. Renaissance Hotels is positioning itself as a leader in this space, with the Evenings at Renaissance programme serving as a key differentiator.
